Responsibilities

Duty 1 : Content and Technical Writing

  • Recommends content / concept to various groups (marketing, design and engineering) to implement the marketing communications strategy in form of marketing collaterals (e.
  • g. storyboard, script, proven results)

  • Analyzes and diagnoses escalations and recommends plan of action to create marketing communications strategy. Reports and corrects published documents if they are proven to contain technical errors.
  • Identifies, mitigates and controls risks related to branding, legal and marketing operations.
  • Performs audit of the team’s marketing content assets, analyse, and recommends improvements to ensure compliance to branding guidelines.
  • Creates / revises copies / creative brief / storyboard based on customer requirements
  • Duty 2 : Creative Development

  • Performs internal quality check on copies / multimedia / graphic requests (Standard / Checklist)
  • Creates new marketing communication materials from customer specification / requirements to effectively represent the products, services, brands and / or organization to customers and prospects using the knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts using computer based design software
  • Provides creative direction in campaign assets / photo and video production (Pre-production to Post Production)
  • Duty 3 : Project Support

    Project Initiation

  • Leads scope reviews - drives the conversation, provides overview of the team including processes, capabilities and purpose;
  • Understands or uncovers the real need for the project; uses technical and business knowledge to have an initial understanding of the value, impact and complexity of the project

    Project Planning

  • Leads project milestone and gate reviews
  • Creates project scope and timeline for small projects
  • In case of differences, negotiate with clients for small applications
  • Reviews and assesses proposals in terms of relevance and application to the requirements of the customers
  • Recommends and negotiates solution and development timeline to the stakeholders; gets their buy-in and commitment to any deliverable
  • Analyzes risk and mitigate project circumstances base on impact assessment.
  • Project Execution

  • Approves prototypes or project mock-ups and design guidelines and implements them to the team
  • Duty 4 : Mailbox Management

  • Allocates Requests / Tasks / Emails to appropriate individual / support group
  • Duty 5 : Metrics, Reporting and Analytics

    Data Manipulation

  • Formats extracted data based on expected report output. (multiple data formatting requirements)
  • Combines extracted data from multiple resources using automated tools (excel, macro, database)
  • Data Analysis

  • Analyzes gathered information & data using descriptive analytics (basic mathematics & comparative analysis)
  • Report Scoping and Planning

  • Creates and tests dynamic reports based on the designed format
  • Creates histograms, charts, summaries as necessary to aid in easy interpretation and better provide decision support to the Integrated Marketing team
  • Report Development

  • Performs data validation to achieve data consistency
  • Report Generation, Analysis and Maintenance

  • Generate, analyze, create report / dashboard from different sources and submit to requestor
  • Duty 6 : Training and Development

  • Creates / Authors content of software tool materials (e.g. presentations, evaluation tools, etc.) for new content writing / graphics / multimedia courses / programs
  • Conducts advanced training on content writing / graphics / multimedia tool usage including skills development and certification (e.
  • g. troubleshooting, presenting, etc.)

    Duty 7 : Continuous Improvement

  • Identifies continuous improvement project ideas.
  • Maps processes as part of the procedure documentation.
  • Leads a team in handling a Continuous Improvement Project using a problem solving methodology.

  • The position exists for the purpose of providing excellent marketing support to the Integrated Marketing initiatives in terms but not limited to content writing, conceptualizing, designing and producing a wide range of printed and / or digital material (images, video, audio and animation) for high impact communications while adhering to the Emerson guidelines for consistency and uniformity in support of Emerson’s marketing strategies.

    Education : Bachelor’s degree in Marketing / Communications / Multimedia arts or equivalent

    Job Related Experience : 6 years related experience in creating marketing content (storyboard, script, proven results, etc.

    creation of marketing collaterals (brochures, flyers, video, banner ads, etc.), copies / graphic / multimedia design using computer aided software in creative media agency or equal capacity and providing creative direction in copy, photo and video production

    Specific Knowledge :

  • Extensive knowledge in creative and technical writing.
  • Highly proficient in creating marketing content for digital and print
  • Advanced knowledge in using MS Office Applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Basic Knowledge in design software products (e.g. Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition, etc.) and other graphics design applications
