JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
The Department of Pediatrics is seeking a part time employee to join their research team. The successful candidate will be expected to have baseline knowledge of routine laboratory and animal (mouse) work to perform scientific experiments.
It is desirable that the applicant have experience in handling chemicals, operating laboratory equipment, rodent handling as well as computer database and word-processing skills.
Qualified applicants should be pursuing or have obtained a BS or higher degree in biology, chemistry, biotechnology, or closely related majors.
Good communication, organizational, teamwork, time management, and planning skills to accomplish multiple tasks in a short time period are essential.
CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS :
Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
