The opportunity

  • Effectively and efficiently manage day-to-day operations of the team to ensure adherence to service level agreement
  • Identify conflict and handle difficult situations in production constructively and tactfully
  • Identify and define training and development needs of the team
  • Actively participate in regular service calls with various internal clients.
  • Recognize lapses on different workflows and recommend / initiate process improvements / control measures
  • Responsible for all critical escalated issues relating to reconciliation production team
  • Remain familiar with relevant securities industry development specifically those impacting the activities of assigned portfolios and / or internal clients and custodial service providers.
  • To participate in a regular program of industry specific training and interdepartmental cross training to ensure continuity of service.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with internal teams within Investment operations to improve reconciliation processes
  • Perform such other duties and functions as assigned by Reconciliation Management

  • What we are looking for

  • Experience in monitoring expense accruals account or fund income and distributions
  • Prior reconciliation experience and knowledge on fund accounting is an advantage.
  • At least 5 years investment bank / asset management / custody / fund accounting experience
  • Ability to manage and collaborate with global stakeholders
  • Excellent communicator who can tailor-fit approach to different audiences
  • Can transform large data into knowledge and insight
  • Can articulate risk and performance indicators and develop and implement action plans.
  • Technical Skills :

  • Accounting and Reporting
  • Above average MS Office skills
  • Researching and sourcing data from various websites and internet databases
  • Familiarity in using Bloomberg is a definite plus
  • Minimum Skills Requirements to Go-live :

  • Understands the concepts surrounding asset management operations from the front office to back office
  • Possesses a fundamental understanding of investment transactions, styles and various asset classes
  • Identify, investigate and resolve reconciliation exceptions.
  • Ability to perform quality check
  • Identify gaps in the workflow and ensure appropriate quality measures are in place
