Profile :

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in IT Operations, infrastructure services support, operations monitoring and end user support.
  • In-depth knowledge of the technology. Technical knowledge of the applicable Technology that you will be responsible for.
  • Must be able to demonstrate troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

  • Technologies would include :
  • Micro Focus Enterprise Server (Administration)
  • Micro Focus Admin - Visual Cobol 2017 (Administration)
  • CICS (Administration)
  • DB2 (Administration)
  • Knowledge on the following is an advantage :
  • Amazon Web Services
  • SOAP / JREST
  • Jenkins
  • Advanced understanding of ITSM ITIL processes. Preferably ITIL trained.
  • Project Management exposure is a plus
  • Flexible, working in shifts, performing standby activities on operational basis
  • Good technical writing and process documentation.
  • Required certification (basic and advance) in the specific technology that candidates is a Subject Matter
  • Good skills in technical writing and process documentation competency.
  • Responsibilities :

    As a Micro Focus Platform Support, he / she will take on a combination of the following responsibilities :

  • Patch Management Assess regular patch release and apply patch updates on a system.
  • Being responsive to clients whilst following the principles and procedures of the quality management system
  • Build strong working relationship with Technical Supervisor, and capability technology teams.
  • Generate security scan and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Good awareness of the customer’s business and in-depth knowledge of the customer’s environment and processes.
  • Ensure following of processes and best practices
  • Generate and submit reports / updates to management when needed.
  • Follow training plans, requirements and schedules as outlined
  • Must have a sense of ownership in handling project and technical issues and able to provide effective and timely resolution.
  • Complete and keep up to date with all Mandatory trainings.
  • Additional Competencies :

  • Candidate must demonstrate effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Good motivational skills plus verbal and written communication skills, strong command of English Language.
  • Strong collaboration skills are required.
  • Must be a Service and Customer oriented team player. Flexible, self motivated with the ability to work under pressure in an International and culturally diverse organization.
  • Must possess the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks.
  • Negotiation, Team Leadership Skills : Must be able to demonstrate guidance, control & direction.
  • Knowledge on ITIL processes. Should be able to drive and influence other resources to follow standard processes
  • Knowledge management skills used to document and drive efficiencies and standardization
