Purpose : The Application Specialist role provides expert advice on the overall system architecture of the offered end-to-
end Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) solution for the Customer, including use, configuration, testing and trouble-shooting of IT infrastructure, network connectivity and Aclara / Partner-
supplied software applications. The position is responsible for providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support, especially during Philippine working hours when expert technical support may not be readily available from Aclara / Partner due to time-
zone differences.Essential Functions : Provide technical support for clients, including troubleshooting technical issues and responding back to clients.
Assume personal accountability for successful coordination of the project activities.Manage project artifacts related to scope, estimate, timeline, and tasks.
Work with all the other track leads (QA, Engineering, etc.) to assist in program management activities.Implement client specific upgrade, customization and configurations.
Execute QA tests for data mapping and client configurations.Work directly with customers to resolve product and customer issues.
Quickly ramp-up on new releases and product functionality to ensure successful implementation of these features for the client.
Escalate issues to designated team contacts and / or cross-functional teams in a timely manner to ensure implementation issues are addressed early.
Identifies complex issues in a timely manner and provides mitigation recommendations to the Project Manager.Assist in preparing training materials and deliver training courses, where required.
Provide technical guidance, direction and training to a new and / or experienced engineers, specialists, technicians and co-
