Job Description

Manulife Philippines is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join the Human Resources team to drive recruitment for its technology function.

This position will play a key role in helping

Manulife maintain its strong business results and achieve its strategic objectives by identifying and hiring strong talent for the firm

  • Partner with lines of business and functional areas to provide strategic recruiting services to ensure that the company’s recruiting programs maximize visibility and result in high quality hires
  • Assess candidates using behavioural based interviewing and other technical assessments in order to ensure top quality talent is selected
  • Coach hiring managers on the recruiting process, interview techniques, and drive the candidate selection process and ensure managers have the tools needed to select the most qualified candidate
  • Partner with management in the proactive sourcing of talent for critical skill areas in order to build a talent pipeline
  • Create and execute strategic sourcing plans to attract top talent, internally and externally, both passive and active
  • Ensure that an appropriate level of risk management is maintained throughout the recruitment process to comply with company policy and standards
  • Stay current on recruitment trends by maintaining and enhancing a network of contacts in the industry, participating in industry events and professional associations
  • Ensure all staffing processes are fair and equitable and comply with all relevant government regulations
  • Manage and / or participate in projects as needed
  • Qualifications :

  • University degree qualified
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of IT recruiting experience, ideally with a mix of recruitment agency and corporate experience
  • Strong direct sourcing skills with experience in using alternative sourcing methods, with a focus on social media and networking tools
  • Level of positions sourced includes senior level and technical positions;
  • Experience in using HRIS & recruitment tool is a plus (Workday / Taleo)
  • Ability to consult with internal and external clients and provide business solutions;
  • Ability to consult with internal and external clients and provide business solutions while managing multiple and shifting priorities
  • Organized and detail oriented with a pro-active approach;
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate an environment with multiple and shifting priorities with ease;
  • Customer-centric attitude coupled with a sense of urgency;
  • Advanced knowledge of labor market and industry trends;
  • Exceptional communication skills and able to articulate verbal skills in addition to effective written communication required
