Reporting directly to the Associate Program Director, the Partnership Development Specialist supports, promotes, develops, and operationalizes the Negros Occidental Impact 2014 (NOccI24) Coalition of partners and stakeholders.

He / she is responsible for the timely identification, acquisition, cultivation and retention of partner organizations, building a coalition of project partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

    Manages the NOccI24 Program Coalition and other partnership efforts to contribute to the development of sustainable and resilient communities (70%) :

  • Define and develop Coalition partnership framework (including parnership risk matrix) and operational platform in accordance with Habitat’s vision, mission and goals and serve as lead liaison for NOccI24 Program’s Coalition members and partners;
  • Work on timely identification, cultivation, acquisition and retention of appropriate partner organizations that will form part of the program’s coalition;
  • Present program and project plans to possible coalition partners (other NGOs, FOIs foundation, organizations and institutions , and corporations, local government units LGUs , national government agencies NGAs , private land developers, and other stakeholders, among others);
  • Help coalition members / partners define their investment and stake in the Program and understand their impact to the communities;
  • Collaborate with Community Development Manager to ensure there is a match of community needs with coalition members portfolio of services / programs;
  • Monitor Coalition members and partners implementation / action plans and deliverables through regular partner updates, calls, and meetings;
  • Update partnership risk matrix as it relates to partner timelines and deliverables and provide Associate Program Director of updates on partnership development and of possible partner risks, if any; and
  • Make relevant contributions to the settlement of partner disputes, if any, including the management and close-out partnerships, if so needed.
  • 2. Information and knowledge management (20%)

  • Maintain full contact database partners and coalition members;
  • Develop Partnership and Coalition Dashboard for easy access to database, reports, updates and presentations including including documentation related to partner identification, selection, capacity assessment, capacity development, review meetings, etc;
  • Capture lessons learned from experiences with potential and actual partners and coalition members to inform the ongoing refinement of NOccI24 Programs's approach to working with partners and other stakeholder;
  • Supports the Program’s Resource Development Team with donor calls and presentations, as needed; and
  • 3. General project responsibilities (10%) :

  • Ensure regular and transparent coordination within the Project teams and partners by implementing and promoting clear and effective communications and documentation;
  • Regularly update Senior Management Team on key changes in coalition / partner structure, portfolio, programming and any other key information that they should be aware of; and
  • Other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.Minimum Required :

  • Education :
  • Minimum is a bachelors in the Social Science, Business, Management, Marketing or related field
  • Desirable : Additional training on Negotations, Conflict Resolution, Design thinking and innovation
  • Years of Related Experience :
  • At least 5 years work experience in engaging, building and relationships and partnerships with private sector, LGUs, government agencies, land developers, housing NGOs and other institutions
  • Proven experience in managing relationships with implementing partners or working in a consortium / coalition arrangement.

  • Fluent in writing and speaking in English; strong communication skills
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective and frequent communication and trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation, persuasive and presentation skills
  • Self directed, solutions oriented and able to multi-task; ability to work independently
  • Able to work within unstable and difficult conditions
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules (e.g. meeting with stakeholders on the weekend)
