Basic purpose of the job
The purpose of the job is the management of all designated regional Financial Accounting tasks (General Ledger and Asset Accounting) for all BI entities of the assigned GBSC countries as well as the management of the team Financial Accounting Regional.
Thereby the job holder assures economically optimal solutions in all perceived areas with continuous improvement of structures and productivity.
He / She guarantees compliance with relevant legal, contractual and / or internal requirements.
The job holder takes the overall accounting responsibility for all dedicated entities within the aligned activity allocation, including the supervision of sub-
ledger postings (e.g. normative framework and posting procedures). Special competences are required with regard to the execution and implementation of complex financial accounting standards and operations as well as the improvement of particular processes for the future.
Besides the responsibility for the actual financial statements the job includes the implementation of complex financial processes for the dedicated entities.
The job holder ensures that all accountabilities are generated accurately, in due time and cost-efficient by the assigned employees.
The job holder is responsible for the disclosure of financial statements (FS II) for all dedicated entities in due time, in consideration of the required quality and guidelines and in compliance with the Service / Operating Level Agreements (SLA / OLA) and the activity allocation with countries and the global GBS functions.
The autonomy of decision (sometimes in contradiction to the interests of the responsible management in the countries) is restricted to a certain extent by given legislation, esp.
HGB and Tax laws but if the prepared financial statements are wrong or overdue high fines impend for the companies or the responsible managing directors.
