Supervisor, IT Systems / Network Administration

As part of a team that takes responsibility for Ingram Micro’s core platform needs, you will play an integral part in supporting the global infrastructure operations;
leading a team of engineers that look after the daily operations and support for Ingram’s critical Infrastructure.With over 200 connected locations, 5 global datacenters, 1000’s of serversand 22,000 employees, Ingram’s IT environment is complexand critical to daily business operations.
The successful candidate will have a strong systems engineering background as well as good organization and troubleshooting skills.
They need to be able to communicate well and lead issues as they occur; driving speedy resolution.As well as providing technical leadership they will need to have a proven record of developing junior engineers and implementing process and documentation that improves daily operations.
Responsibilities & Expectations :
Lead a team of engineers that work on shifts supporting the Ingram Micro’s internal ITinfrastructure environment on a 24 / 7 basis.
Join all critical and high bridges when they occur and drive expedited resolution to issues that impact the business, using logical troubleshooting to identify and rectify issues.
Address Reporting, Monitoring and Alarming requirements.
Manage incidents and work orders within established service level agreements.
Perform administration, configuration and monitoring of infrastructure devices in the IngramMicro network.
Create and maintain support documentation as required.
Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery planning for the infrastructureenvironment to minimize work disruption.
Identify opportunities and drive service improvements.
Ensure asset management and asset inventory are kept up to date.
Help support and ensure preventative maintenance is completed to schedule.
Structure and track regular failover testing of the environment to ensure that the investments in redundancy are working.
Identify systems that require updates or changes and propose and plan the implementation from idea to delivery.
Work closely with theengineering teams to identify opportunities to improve, helping with project implementations as needed and ensuring new projects have appropriate operational hand off from Engineering to the operations team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required due to the dynamic nature of collaborations with our teams, leaders, customers, stakeholders, vendors, and other teams, solving complex problems together.

The Ideal Candidate Should Have :
Bachelor’s degree or relevant extensive experiencee
preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science or Engineering).
At least 5 years (preferably 8+ years) experience in large environments with a minimum of 1 year (preferably 2+ years) in a lead role.
Experience with troubleshooting issues from beginning to end in complex environments.
Experience working within ITIL processes governing change and configuration management.
At least 5 years of experience in large complex Cisco network environments.
Experience with Cisco networking technologies in both LAN and WAN environments.
Experience with Datacenter technologies such as Nexus switches or ACI.
Experience with complex routing environments using BGP and EIGRP.
Experience in implementing support process including documenting and enforcing these processes.
Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, IDS / IPS and UTM devices.
