You keep abreast of industry best practices, you’ve done system evaluation RFP preparation, and you have proven success working in a team selling environment.
Understanding of multiple retail solutions. Your proficient understanding of both store and enterprise application dependencies, as they relate to the solutions and respective retail business flow as is specialized knowledge in such processes as store operations, Ecommerce and omni-channel workflows.
Experience with solutions from similar organizations (such as Demandware, Manhattan Associates, MI9, Oracle Retail or past experience with Red Prairie) would be ideal.
Effective and deliberate communicator. You’re not just comfortable engaging in collaborative discussions, but initiating them, too.
Collaboration is major tenet of the Aptos culture, and it’s through feedback and different perspectives that great products and solutions come to life.
When you speak, you are clear and concise. Your strong listening skills foster connection with your audience. You are comfortable interacting with different types of people as well as making presentations to the audience.
You not only keep up with C-level discussions, you effectively lead and influence them.
Expert relationship cultivator. You have a genuine interest in connecting not just staying in touch. It’s not phony. It’s not a chore.
It’s a sincere interest in learning more about an individual, team or organization and engaging effectively in regular dialogue to build and strengthen the relationships.
Your effectiveness in this area translates just as powerfully internally as it does externally. Authenticity is the key to your success.
Detailed mindset. You rarely make mistakes because you have good processes in place to ensure that every last detail is correct.
There’s hardly an error that gets past you even when you’re under pressure to complete something in a very short timeframe.
Road warrior : You’ll be traveling around 50% of the time to attend trade shows, sales conferences and sales meetings covid restrictions not withstanding!
Here’s what will give you an edge
Intensely curious spirit. You saw this job posting and immediately did your research. You already know everything about us.
And our customers. And our competition. In customer meetings, you know how to pick up on subtle details and read between the lines to ask the kinds of questions that our competitors might miss.
And it’s those questions that lead to the best possible solutions for our customers the ones that add the most value to their businesses.
Education and proficiency in MS Office : Having an Associate’s degree or higher would be preferred, but it’s not a must.
As our ideal candidate, you have good knowledge and experience with MS Office tools including Excel, Word and PowerPoint and are very comfortable using these in your everyday work.
Passion. We know it when we see it. Passion is not saying how much you love what you do in your most excited voice. Passion is revealed in your truest self.
It’s about what you’ve accomplished; how you want to grow; the ideas you have; your philosophies. It’s demonstrating through your words and your actions that you truly believe in what you do and where you work.
That it matters to you. And that’s pretty cool.
Resourcefulness and application. At Aptos, we have a pioneering spirit when we have questions, we find answers; when we’re faced with challenges, we find solutions.
We turn to a variety of resources, including our own colleagues, our professional network, the Internet, articles and books whatever helps us get the job done.
But it’s not just about using a variety of resources to gain knowledge it’s also about applying that knowledge to other areas of the job or business where it might make sense.
Initiative. You don’t wait around for things to happen or for your manager to tell you what to do. You’re not only proactive about completing your own work, but when you sense the need to introduce a project that will benefit the team or the organization even if it’s outside your scope of work you put a proposal together, talk to the team about it, and own it.
And that also goes back to having a pioneering spirit.
