As a pre-sales engineer at Aptos, you will play a key role in helping our clients and customers keep their businesses running efficiently, consistently, and reliably by acting as the technical resource and liaison between the sales team and the customer as well as the product managers.

With a focus on POS / omni-channel, you will provide the required business expertise in such processes as store operations, commerce and omni-channel workflows.

Using your pre-sales skills and retail software knowledge, you’ll prepare for and conduct software demonstrations along with Sales team, and assist in preparing written responses for RFP’s and RFI’s, as well as conducting customer and prospect webinars.

Are you the person we’re looking for?

Retail consulting experience. With five or more years of retail consulting experience, you know the ins and outs of retail operations (ideally in apparel and specialty retailing) and can confidently and intelligently identify solutions to meet our customers’ needs.

You keep abreast of industry best practices, you’ve done system evaluation RFP preparation, and you have proven success working in a team selling environment.

Understanding of multiple retail solutions. Your proficient understanding of both store and enterprise application dependencies, as they relate to the solutions and respective retail business flow as is specialized knowledge in such processes as store operations, Ecommerce and omni-channel workflows.

Experience with solutions from similar organizations (such as Demandware, Manhattan Associates, MI9, Oracle Retail or past experience with Red Prairie) would be ideal.

Effective and deliberate communicator. You’re not just comfortable engaging in collaborative discussions, but initiating them, too.

There’s hardly an error that gets past you even when you’re under pressure to complete something in a very short timeframe.

Road warrior : You’ll be traveling around 50% of the time to attend trade shows, sales conferences and sales meetings covid restrictions not withstanding!

Education and proficiency in MS Office : Having an Associate’s degree or higher would be preferred, but it’s not a must.

As our ideal candidate, you have good knowledge and experience with MS Office tools including Excel, Word and PowerPoint and are very comfortable using these in your everyday work.
