The will own the Software Release lifecycle for the Salesforce Workflow and Automation solution which includes scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases across the enterprise for multiple applications across various portfolios.
The releases can be inclusive of application updates, operating system patches, security improvements, hardware upgrades, and specific project releases.
You will provide tools and services to help product management and project teams manage and deploy releases into production.
Forward Plan the release windows and cycles across a portfolio
Manage and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations
Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updates
Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes
Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations
Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go / No-Go reviews
Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required
Plan and manage all release activities
Manage code repository
Review, manage and mitigate impacts of code merges
Maintains the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors.
Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.
Collaborates with Validation and Complaince teams to develop and valdiate scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms
Participate in meetings to discuss release scope and / or roadblocks
Maintain a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
Minimum 4 years of professional experience in software development, software testing or validation, or analytical business services
University degree (B.S.Sc. or MS.Sc.) in IT or Business Administration related programs
Familiarity with process improvement and transformation methodologies like Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen etc.
Experience in working at a global / multi-cultural environment
Specific experience in software validation, software testing, or software release management in a large multi-national organization
Fast learner with well-developed analytical thinking, design thinking and problem solving skills
Good analytical skills, understanding of new business processes and ability to design hybrid automation solution
Fluent in English
Familiarity and experience deploying Atlassian suite of software deployment tools.
Familiarity and experience deploying / utilizing Salesforce ApExchange software deployment tools
Knowledge and experience in working with Salesforce and / ot Salesforce AppExchange solutions
Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Vendavo, SalesForce
Knowledge of MS Office 365 (MS Dynamics, PowerBI, SharePoint, MS Flow, etc.)
