Summary

The Data Center Sales Executive, or DCSE, functions as the primary seller for Dell EMC Storage, Data Protection, Converged Infrastructure and Emerging Storage Solutions, encompassing the Data Center Value to our Strategic customers.

The DCSE defines the Storage and Data Center strategy within a set of allocated Accounts and partners with the Core Account Executive.

The Core Account Executive oversees all the Dell EMC solutions, and manages and directs the Client Solutions and Server / Networking Business Strategies.

The DCSE is expected to build business value relationships through consultative selling approach across multiple levels of decision makers and influencers within accounts, engage prospects to generate pipeline and collaborates with Business Unit Specialists as needed.

The DCSE leads sales negotiations for Storage and Converged / Emerging Technologies within the Account Sales Engagement.

Primary Responsibilities of the DCSE

  • Primary selling responsibility for infrastructure products
  • Business oriented mindset digital transformation understanding and industry knowledge on trends and market dynamics.
  • Effective team engagement with Presales, Sales Specialists, Cross LOB engagement.
  • Engages at Customer CXO level & demonstrates measurable ROI
  • Understands customer’s business, value-drivers and org and has proven ability to articulate the value advantage of Dell EMC and Strategic Aligned Business.
  • Takes consultative approach to solution selling
  • Can communicate Dell EMC’s unique value to customers
  • Maps customer challenges to Dell EMC capabilities
  • Responsible for prospecting & pipeline generation
  • Manages virtual team of specialists & resources
  • Support account planning with extended team
  • Identifies, develops, manages, and closes business
  • Maintains accurate sales forecast and pipeline in SFDC, ensuring transparency and predictability of business.
  • Grows the account / territory to maximum potential
  • Consistently achieves balanced revenue, across multiple LOB’s and ensures value differentiation
  • Solutions and Product

    Responsible for Dell EMC Storage Products (EMC and Dell), Converged Infrastructure Solutions, Data Protection Solutions and Emerging Technologies (including Software Defined, BigData Products, Scale Out NAS, Cloud Solutions, VMWARE)Drives and is Accountable for Data Center Solution Sales and is an equal partner with an Account Executive -

    who manages overall account relationship and drives opportunities for Client & Compute / Networking.

    REQUIREMENT

  • 8-12 years relevant direct sales experience with proven track record of over-quota achievement and demonstrated career stability in sales environment.
  • An engaged business partner advocate who has demonstrated success working with partner ecosystems.
  • Excellent people, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence, mentor and enable others to achieve results.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work effectively with Senior Management
