Key responsibilities

  • Perform day to day activities, i.e accounting transactions, financial statement preparation and financial data analysis
  • Connect with the country and other teams for relevant information and action as necessary
  • Perform reconciliation of general ledger accounts with proper documentation
  • Deliver financial book close requirements timely, based on set deadlines
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial controls, as determined globally and locally
  • Complete deliverables and other assigned tasks within targeted timeline and SLA, including timely response to inquiries
  • Proactively highlight any performance / process gaps and room for improvement, and follow-up with the relevant stakeholders
  • Utilize accounting knowledge of processes and understanding of impact on other work groups to assist others on more complex issues
  • Deliver tax and audit requirements on established deadlines
  • Continuously seek, propose and establish improvements in the processes handled
  • Serve as back-up resource in the absence of other team members
  • Perform other tasks and ad hoc activities that are deemed necessary as assigned
  • We are looking for

  • Candidates must hold a relevant financial degree, in Accounting or similar
  • A good knowledge of desktop applications and financial systems
  • Candidates should also have a basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Direct Accounts payable experience would be an advantage
  • Knowledgeable in major ERP systems (SAP)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (can drive any client engagement calls and prepare reports for any presentation with clients)
  • Ability to adapt successfully to multiple tasks that occur in a rapidly changing environment and to perform in highly interruptive conditions to meet time pressures / deadlines
  • Highly energetic and self-motivated, proactive and resourceful
  • Willingness to take on stretched goals, and to go above and beyond for urgent work requirements
  • Willing to work extended working hours
