Job Description

As an Operations Supervisor on our team, you’ll be helping to keep our distribution center operating smoothly. From training to problem solving to maintaining equipment, your work will help save lives.

Specifically, we need you to :

Help plan and direct operationsKeep morale and work standards highTrain and manage your teamControl expensesControl employee turnover and overtime hoursMake sure equipment and housekeeping are exceptional

Monday-Friday 7am-4pm or 5pm

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

Assist Operations Manager with planning, organizing and directing warehouse activities to ensure successful day shift operations.

Assist with leading workers and Lead persons. Assist with maintaining a positive morale, work standards and developing teams.

Assist with training and managing employee performanceProactively seeks solutions to problems at the root level and works on continuous improvement projects.

Ensure warehouse operations comply with federal, state, and local company policiesAssist with controlling expensesAssist with reducing employee turnover / Assist with reducing overtime working hours.

Ensure warehouse equipment and vehicles are well maintained and that housekeeping meets company standards.Must know or be willing to learn how to operate powered industrial trucksLead by example, exemplifying McKesson's principles and values - ICARE and ILEAD

Minimum Requirements

5+ years operational experience including2+ years managerial experience2+ years of Warehousing / Distribution Center experience

Preferred

4 year DegreeForklift / stock picker / equipment experienceUnion experience

Critical Requirements

Experience managing, leading and developing staffComputer proficiency in MS OfficeExcellent and effective business communication skills both verbally and in writingAbility to multi task in a fast paced environment and make strong business decisionsDemonstrated employee engagement skillsMust be open to flexible hours, must also be open to adjusting shift and overtime as needed based on business requirements.

Additional Knowledge & Skills

4 year degree preferredIndustry experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse, manufacturing or distribution environment preferredSkilled in interviewing, coaching, evaluation, discipline and record keepingExperience with DEA regulations a plusWMS experience preferredMS Access proficiency and ability to interpret and analyze data

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent; 4-year degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

High energy distribution center environmentMay be required to work various shifts, including nights and days.Some overtime required
