BT Cutover Lead*

This position will lead the planning and execution of Polaris Functional cutovers from legacy to SAP for 3M and subsidiary locations.

They will work directly with management and key resources to establish required cutover strategies and lead a team of resources in assisting the global, local and regional teams to plan out the data conversion, business ramp-

down and blackout phases of each cutover. They will work on location to execute the plans and ensure successful transition to SAP.

This position requires some advanced knowledge of 3M business operations within cross-functional teams from different businesses and various countries in a complex organization with differences in language, culture and time zones.

It will require travel.

Primary Responsibilities of the BT - Cutover Lead include but are not limited to the following :

  • Be accountable for all Cutover deliverables of assigned releases
  • Lead the Cutover Team in working with the global, regional and local teams to ensure cutover strategies and detailed tasks to ramp down the business are understood and documented in preparation for go-live
  • Work with the local IT team to understand the current environment and the disposition of the existing portfolio
  • Work with the local business teams to understand the needed operations that will occur during the blackout period and ensure adherence to global blackout policies and procedures
  • Work with global, regional and local teams to complete IT Contingency Plans and Business Continuity Plans.
  • Lead facilitation of cutover plans ensuring timelines are met. Lead status meetings.
  • Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of three (3) years project management experience
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Cross functional IT / Business Experience
  • Business Transformation Polaris Program Experience
  • Supervisory experience Minimum of 1-2 years
  • Business acumen

  • Verbal and written communications
  • Comfort in communication across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work throughout the entire process (strategy through detailed task planning)
