Job Summary

The National Account Manager is required to meet or exceed objectives of assigned accounts by providing services to the customer through professional techniques, and industry knowledge.

The National Accounts Manager will also act as a liaison between accounts and customers to provide outstanding customer service.

Essential Functions :

  • Acts as a liaison between customer and account level operations.
  • Assists in resolving any issues for the customer that arise and promotes customer service and satisfaction.
  • Handles equipment issues.
  • Researches lost equipment and assists in ensuring necessary equipment is provided.
  • Monitors Drivers to be sure work in in-line with customer expectations.
  • Assists in coordinating market proposals; provides scenarios and pricing.
  • Assists in establishing pricing for markets and new start-ups.
  • Investigates any service issues and communicates to customer and company.
  • Conduct reviews for customer accuracy.
  • Provides various requested reports to customer.
  • Conducts customer surveys and monitors customer satisfaction.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Other Requirements :

  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
  • Bachelor’s degree; at least five years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

    Or a Master’s degree; at least three years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

  • Working knowledge of transportation management software and on board technology.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to gather data, compiles data, and prepares reports.
  • Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community including Customer’s and Cardinal’s organization.
