Job Purpose

The ADS Consulting practice is growing. ADS consulting currently providesBusiness & Transformation; and Technology Consulting services directly toclients and in support of wider Sopra Steria business.

We have an excellenttrack record in helping our clients exploit technology and we are excited bythe possibilities to develop this further.

As a result, we wish to widen thescope of our Technology consulting services.

Working collaboratively with our clients, you'll drive the identificationof opportunities for, and delivery of digital technologies.

The ability toinfluence and shape programmes of work to ensure successful delivery will besecond nature. You'll already be experienced in identifying and mitigatingcommon pitfalls in digital delivery and technology exploitation.

You'll enjoythe challenge of working in a cross disciplinary team and act as a bridgebetween business and technology. You'll have specialist skills when it comes toexplaining complex technologies to both technical and non-technical peoplethrough the use of diagrams, 1-2-1’s, documents and workshops.

Our focus areas are mostly likely to include applications, cloud andinfrastructure transformation as well as emerging technologies such as RPA orAI so you will need appropriate expertise and experience in some of theseareas.

You are likely to have come from an architecture background to advise onpractical implementation concerns and be able to communicate the complex,simply.

Depending on scale and complexity of assignment you will also beresponsible for leading small consulting teams.

While the main focus for the role will be working with clients, you willuse your knowledge of Sopra Steria’s capabilities and aspirations to identifyand support development of new consulting opportunities.

You will have theopportunity to lead small-to-medium scale proposals and shape the developmentof future business.

Key Responsibilities

Acting as the technology lead across consulting assignments you'll bridge the divide between the technical and business

You will have your own technology expertise, but additionally will interface with deeper specialists to identify and develop opportunities for how technology can improve client outcomes

You'll contribute towards shaping, building and the delivery of successful outcomes for our clients whilst providing high-value, sustainable business for Sopra Steria

You'll successfully lead and run a work-stream, medium scale project or proposal in line with the agreed scope, timeframe and budget to achieve revenue targets and high levels of customer satisfaction

You'll identify, nurture and develop client relationships and proactively look to secure follow on work with clients to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction and additional revenue

Your innovative thinking will drive the development and contribution of our consulting capability

As a trusted Consulting Manager, you will be viewed as a prominent member of the Sopra Steria consulting brand, both by clients and more widely through networks, events and social media

Contribute to the wider Consulting Community through sharing personal knowledge and coaching less experienced consultants.

Qualifications and Knowledge

Degree level education or equivalent, typically in Business, Information Technology or Engineering

Membership of accredited institution such as BCS

Have areas of expertise in Technology consulting and / or IT transformation

Strong knowledge of the business needs and drivers behind technology transformation

Strong knowledge in a selection of key underpinning disciplines and technologies, supporting digital, applications and / or cloud & infrastructure transformation

Experience

Track record of delivering digital and technology advisory services and transformation consulting in a recognised consulting business working with ADS clients or wider government or public sector;

Experience of delivering value to businesses through digital transformation initiatives and technology

Validated understanding of current issues within the market, including digital technology, operational improvement, business retention, product innovation

Ability to describe 'as-is' and to-be digital solutions in easy to understand manner

Experience of describing and positioning propositions that embrace all domains of the client’s operating model

Experience of defining 'Return on Investment' and of creating compelling business cases for technology

Ability to clearly articulate the opportunities provided by use of technology, the architectural and business implications and be able to develop roadmaps for exploitation and change

Experience of developing service propositions and taking these to market

Skills required

Client facing technology consulting experience in a recognised consulting business.

Demonstrable experience of supporting winning technology consulting work through bids and proposals

A developed personal network with ADS clients and partners

A clear understanding of ADS client needs and pain points

Experience of leading small consulting teams

Salary £70-90,000 per annum
