SUMMARY

The School of Education invites applications for a Graduate Assistant for the summer semester of 2022, working 210 hours (14 hours per week / 15 weeks) for a waiver of 6 graduate credits of the assistantship.

No additional stipend is given.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate is expected to assist with and support Education faculty with curriculum development, research, course assessments, and other duties related to teaching and supporting our students.

Additional work may include assisting in the planning of field experiences, assisting students that request information, email inquiries, scheduling appointments, directing individuals to appropriate campus resources, and other duties as assigned.

Education

  • You must be accepted into Marymount as a graduate student;
  • You must be registered for at least six graduate credits during any semester in which you are awarded a GA position;
  • For current students, graduate GPA must be at least 3.0. For entering graduate students, undergraduate GPA must be at least 3.0.

    Preferred qualifications

    Students enrolled full-time are given preference

    Strong communication skills. Can write a professional email to faculty, students, and school partners. Can confidently make phone calls to faculty, students, and school partners.

    Possess enthusiasm, strong work ethic, and collaborative spirit with strong interpersonal skills.

    Initiative and ability to work independently, including creative problem-solving.

    Strong computer skills (MS Suite); G Drive and Google Apps, familiar with Canvas and webpage design and editing.

    Excellent attention to detail.
