Description To provide accurate information or analyses on the performance or status of Operational and Financial Management.
Responsible in developing, reporting, and supporting the Operations Excellence Team in managing Global delivery and Inventory performance data so their reports are consistent with and supportive on Emerson planning cycle and expectations, specifically for Flow Solutions Group.
Will also be responsible for data analysis and maintenance of historical material usage. Duty 1 : Metrics Reporting & Analytics Report Scoping and Planning
Gathers and analyzes stakeholder requirements and provides improvement and recommendation based on customer request
Generates quantitative information from global raw data
Communicates with resources to get input / raw data needed for report generation
Coordinates with the factory / other support group to obtain product information, bookings, backlog, and sales data
Conducts research to gather qualitative information (historical shipments, past and current inventory performance, and verify system forecast accuracy) from internal sources that will be used for analysis
Cleans extracted data using pre-defined guidelines or instructions
Formats extracted data based on expected report output. (with large data sets and multiple data formatting requirements)
Categorizes and segments extracted data using tools to convert data to information relevant to the report (Excel, Macro, database)
Combines and consolidates extracted data from multiple sources using automated tools (Excel, Macro, database), and standardize data structure from different data sources
Calculates data using available fields within the gathered information (basic math and statistics)
Global Service Level and Inventory Data Analysis
Analyzes gathered information & data using descriptive analytics (basic mathematics & comparative analysis)
Identify and provide solution to general inquiries
Validates and calculates On Time Service Levels and inventory turns using offline and system tools
Communicates issues / concerns to POC regarding results of Analysis
Researches inventory information, part demand, technical specifications and gathers various data to be used by Operations, Marketing & Finance teams (ei.
ITO and Delivery Performance Reports, Line Business Report, Global Inventory Trends)
Identifies and resolves data related issues with manufacturing sites
Performs data integrity check by comparing past reports to determine any internal changes in GDW.
Validates correctness and applicability of all world area raw data reports provided / recommended by world area data owners
With direction and input from the Global Operations Excellence team, organize data summaries from previous analysis to identify trends and meet specific needs
Solicit data from other resources as needed (e.g. SIOP, Manufacturing, Supply Chain etc.)
Able to summarize data in a format that is easy to communicate and present to the organization
Creates reports based on standard templates
Creates and tests dynamic reports based on the designed format
Generates and submits Service Level Report and Global Inventory Report
Duty 2 : Material Planning Support Analysis Initiation
Assists the material planning POC in gathering, analyzing and clarifying material requirements; uses technical knowledge to gauge complexity of the request
Performs research and analysis to validate changes in demand and material usage
Reviews demand shifts and Bill of Material changes for impacts for material planning
Communicate and highlight significant changes in demand
Helps quantify changes initiated by engineering and assists in implementing appropriate changes in Oracle EBS
Reports own progress of quarterly material review
Able to create and communicate a schedule that meets requirements of regular material planning review
