Job Summary : The position is responsible to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish.
You will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure that they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
You should be well-versed in all construction methodologies, procedures and must have the ability to coordinate to a team of professionals in different disciplines to achieve the best results.
You will have experience in providing full supervision for various construction projects and be able to work closely with the Operations Manager and other departments as necessary.
Responsibilities / Duties Adheres to general work requirements. Collaborate / coordination with engineers, architects, foreman and sub-contractors.
Facilitates Daily Preview Meeting (DPM). Checks and approves Requisition Slips (RS) and Progress Billings. Monitoring of working drawings, building permits, tools and equipment.
Site checking and monitoring of worker’s attendance on site. Monitoring of timelines to meet project deadlines. Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities. Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met. Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies.
Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities. Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed.
Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports. Ensure adherence to Construction Occupational Safety & Health (COSH) and report any issues or violations.
Conducts budgeting, planning and oversee full documentation of all aspects of the project. Monitors material and labor cost to ensure that all projects are within the set / approved budget.
Implements change order and costing. Finalizes process flow charts. Ensures that Gantt Charts are updated and posted on all sites.
Ensures that catch up plan(s) are in place in case of any project delays. Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Your General and Functional Skills : Working knowledge / experience in : Construction Project Management. Construction procedures, materials and project management principles.
MS Office. Familiarization with quality, construction occupational safety and health standards. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills. A team player with excellent leadership abilities. Is a fast learner, well organized and has time management skills.
Planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize, coordinate workload within a multiple project setting and ability to see the Big Picture .
Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals, departments and levels of management with competence in conflict and crisis management.
Complete familiarization of the company’s products and services. Education and Work Experience Employee must possess at least Bachelor’s / College Degree in Engineering, Building Science or related field.
At least 5 years of working experience in Construction Project Management.
