We have an exciting opportunity for a BIM Lead . Your primary role is to lead the preparation of technical deliverables in the form of Building Information Models, from sketches or from design information according to established standards and procedures and implementation of good BIM practices and culture.
Specific responsibilities in this role will include :
Develops regional and project specific templates and content libraries, as main service to projects.
Develop and implement Project BEPs / BMPs
Provides support and training to project team on project standard tools and templates
Provides input into BIM scope, schedule, budget when required.
Responsible for managing consistency and quality across project deliverables.
Implements QA / QC for BIM and project deliverables, reports on quality, completeness and maturity.
Supervises BIM designers to ensure effective and timely flow of project information, and quality of deliverables.
Calls out risks, challenges associated with delivery production, BIM development to Regional BIM Manager in a timely manner including supervising progress and reporting on multi-discipline BIM development and deliverables percentage complete.
Required Experience
Minimum of 5 years of leading information for various phases of multidiscipline projects
At least 5 years of Contractor experience, preferably in the Middle East
Experience in at least one of the following project roles : BIM coordination, document management or engineering design
Experience in 3D modelling, Model Setup, Management and troubleshooting, multidiscipline coordination
Skills, Competencies and Qualifications
Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field
Expertise in the following :
BIM Collaboration tools e.g. (ProjectWise, BIM 360),
Design authoring / review / automation tools e.g. (AutoDesk Revit, Navisworks, Dynamo (advantage), AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D)
Technical capability of BIM LOD 300 400 and 500
Excellent team leadership to lead a BIM team for design and production
Understanding of 4D / 5D BIM and ability to support DB project requirements
Ability to interact with external entities to interpret and understand BIM / CAD requirements and BIM scope
Strong Outstanding customer service orientation
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to work in multiple parallel projects and within a team environment
Outstanding attention to detail, problem solving and organizational skills
