Aviation Sales Operations Manager manages the operations of aviation department. He / She typically manages through professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity.
He / She will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring adherence to all FAA Part 91 and Part 135 compliance requirements, generating trip / charter quotes, with knowledge and background in charter sales, assisting in the development of standards, negotiation / coordination of flight logistics, and ensuring that all operations are conducted in a compliant, professional, and timely manner.
Assists in coordinating day-to-day flight operations in accordance with all Federal and company regulations and requirements.
Actively participates in implementing company and departmental standards and procedures.
Prepares charter quotes and other flight-related paperwork.
Establishing a portfolio of clients, identifying new clients through cold calling, networking, and managing online inquiries
Build wild and effective networks of contacts inside and outside the organization
Managing executive charter bookings from inquiry to the completion
Ability to demonstrate an expert understanding of the aircraft and chartering process
Building long term beneficial relationships with both clients and supplier
Keep up to date with market trends; controls cost and think in terms of profit, loss, and added value
Works effectively with internal and external customers, as well as peers and management, to provide safe and efficient airlift support services to Flight Crews and customers.
Attends customers’ (internal and external) needs and takes the initiative to ensure those needs are met or exceeded.
Sets high standards for quality over quantity and consistently achieves project goals
Coordinate international flight planning activities.
Actively flight follows flights from departure through arrival. Monitors weather; communicates advisories to Flight Crews as necessary.
Anticipates and proactively takes action to deal with future events, situations, and opportunities.
Effectively uses communication skills and tools to convey timely and accurate information to Flight
Crews, Operations Management, Flight Operations Personnel, and others as needed to produce safe, efficient, and timely flight planning services.
Attends to the operational needs of the business and takes the initiative to ensure those needs are met or exceeded.
Assist in maintaining flight logs, flight records, and operational files.
Maintains knowledge of crew members and aircraft locations.
Ensures all operations are conducted in a professional and timely manner.
College Degree (Aviation, Business or Marketing degree preferred)
FAA Dispatch CertificateLicense preferred but not required.
Philippine CAA Dispatch License is a plus.
Minimum of 10 years aviation experience required.
Experience and knowledge of corporate aircraft operations and FAA regulations 14 with emphasis to Part 91 and 135.
Knowledgeable in Charter Sales is required.
General knowledge of geography, aviation meteorology, customer service, and corporate aircraft types and performance.
Exceptional communication, writing, and teamwork skills.
Solid computer skills, proficient in MS Office software
Attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines
Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team member while meeting individual performance goals
Ability to foster relationships with other internal departments.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment and demonstrate the ability to juggle
