An empowered position in Sealand Maersk Asia’s commercial organisation being the focal point for financial

reporting, forecasting, budgeting, sales planning, delivering customer profitability insights and finance related business support for the Countries.

As the Country Commercial Analyst (Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, Korea), you are expected to work with the Head of Business Finance, L&S as a frontline partner and play a role in the growth and development of our strategic roadmap.

Role Summary :

  • Leverage One set of numbers and establish a strong link between financial numbers and commercial actions, driving business by supporting the Countries (Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, Korea) leadership.
  • Drive performance management, financial analytics and influence decision making by Countries (Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, Korea).
  • Act as internal consultants of stakeholders, influencing key decisions and creating valuable business impact.
  • Delivering Ocean and Logistics insights on customers.
  • Managing and influencing Countries and Area collaboration.
  • Ensuring rationalisation of reports and ensuring synergies across the Countries.

  • Key responsibilities

    Performance Management

  • Being co-drive to Country (Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, Korea) leadership team.
  • Driving value creation and handling performance management, through Ocean and Logistics customer profitability and compliance review for specific customer segments and L&S uptake.
  • The focal person who drives performance review with the Country (Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, Korea) managers.
  • Providing analytical support and problem solving for the Countries (Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, Korea) to promote business growth and performance fluctuations, as well as on ad hoc need.
  • Being sparring partner as well as driving discussions and initiatives to improve performance locally.
  • Sharing and ensuring local adoption of best practices across the Countries (Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, Korea).
  • Serving as focal points for Countries (Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, Korea) and Headquarter alignment initiatives.
  • Standardization and collaboration with other Countries FBP and Commercial Analyst.
  • Ensuring standardized reporting landscape is in place and aligned across countries.
  • Drive effective usage of BI and get involve in development of custom reports to drive performance
  • Business Planning

  • Driving the brand target setting and bi-annual RoFo (Rolling Forecast) process for the Countries (Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, Korea) to ensure that both short and long-term strategic priorities are catered and business planning exercise.
  • Provide inputs to HQ to ensure local feedback and requirements are shared.
  • Focal person to ensure HQ’s finance instructions and updates are cascaded and adopted locally.
  • Sales and Pipeline Management

  • Deep dive into pipeline, providing value-added insights and being sparring partners with sales leader to improve performance.
  • Constantly analyse the pipelines on their adequacy to meet target and present recommendation to improve overall pipeline with product specific analysis and contract type (Long / Short Term) Analysis.
  • Support HQ Finance on SIP, steering the right sales behaviour locally and providing timely inputs to HQ.
