    The Opportunity : (Brief Overview of the Role)

  • To understand Management Information requirements and produce Weekly and Monthly MI reports for Management
  • To acquire broad understanding and awareness of risk scenarios associated with their process of scope.
  • To conduct overall risk assessment through identification and analysis of control deficiencies and its impact on the process, formulation of mitigation measures and monitoring of action plans to further strengthen existing process control mechanisms.
  • To provide leadership, customer service and operations support to all levels of management, and to both internal and external clients.
  • To maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
  • To drive the implementation of Group Compliance Policy in conjunction with financial regulators to which the trade and reconciliations are based.
  • To maintain level of frequency in re-assessing the operational risks inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures, management restructures, and the impact of new technology in conjunction with the donor Group companies.
  • To achieve maximum customer (internal / external) satisfaction within the specified SLA’s.
  • To maintain HSBC control standards, including but not limited to the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by regulators.
  • To implement the Group Compliance Policy, as applicable to the role.
  • To perform other responsibilities dependent on the assigned reconciliations within their scope.

  • To maintain and enhance controls. The AMT is to ensure that controls in place are effective. Any potential breakdown should be escalated and addressed accordingly.
  • To provide accurate and relevant reporting. The AMT is to ensure that accurate and relevant MI’s and reports are completed and submitted to the business and / or management.
  • To ensure training is up to date. The AMT is to ensure that all procedures are up to date and that processes in performing day-to-day roles are appropriate.
  • To escalate issues accordingly. The AMT is to chase and escalate issues to the reconciliations’ respective business partners and follow-up to resolve issues and outstanding items.
  • To rally process improvement initiatives. The AMT is to challenge status quo in order to improve the process and fortify accuracy and quality of work.
  • To promote work & life balance.
  • To maintain and enhance controls. The AMT is to ensure that controls in place are effective. Any potential breakdown should be escalated and addressed accordingly.
  • To ensure staff development. The AMT is to ensure that regular feedback is given to and received from staff, and that development is monitored and followed-through.
  • To provide accurate and relevant reporting. The AMT is to ensure that accurate and relevant MI’s and reports are completed and submitted to the business and / or management.
  • To ensure training is up to date. The AMT is to ensure that all procedures are up to date and that processes in performing day-to-day roles are appropriate.
  • To escalate issues accordingly. The AMT is to chase and escalate issues to the reconciliations’ respective business partners and follow-up to resolve issues and outstanding items.

  • What you will need to succeed in the role : (Minimum Qualification and Skills Required)

  • A degree in Accounting / Finance / Management / Business Administration.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the TLM Platforms an advantage.
  • At least 2-3 years working experience in Global Banking and Markets, and experience in managing MI reporting analysis, change and administrative work.
  • At least 1 year of working experience on control-related functions.
  • Escalation ability to recognize when a task should be escalated and following through to ensure management are aware
  • Possess knowledge on MS Office with good numerical and analytical skills.
  • Leadership skills, with ability to build rapport with and relate to and effectively develop a wide range of people.
  • Ability to speak and understand English fluently, writes business letters and reports, and has good conversational / telephone skills.
  • Able to work effectively under challenging environment with tight timelines.

  • Preferably with knowledge on the migration and on-boarding of process, UAT exercises and process improvement
  • Abilty to manage good relationships across mutiple buisness lines and GBM / HSS Hubs
  • Ability to solve problems, articulate requirements and implement changes.
  • Ability to learn quickly and transfers knowledge appropriately, understand and interpret numeric data.
  • Good Management skills and initiate improvements.
