The Opportunity

The HRSS Specialist for Philippine Payroll is responsible for the accurate and timely management of employee compensation and provides related support to employees, managers, HR Business Partners and HRSS utilizing regional expertise on the hire-to-retire process, within the global policy framework and regulatory obligations.

This role will also be supporting the APAC Region.

You Are Great At :

  • Assigned as first-level escalation point of contact between HRSS Specialists, Payroll and Manager HRSS Tier 2 APAC in resolving advanced complex employee queries and issues received via HRSS various support channels.
  • Ability to assess and articulate (verbally and written) the current payroll activities, payroll pain points
  • Provide general payroll support and collaborate with colleagues across HR, Variable Compensation and Finance throughout the pay process across different regions to effectively represent the team for any process improvement initiatives assigned to them.
  • Ensure delivery of day-to-day payroll operations and assigned deputy lead support role in all efforts around HR Shared Services metrics, audits, spotting trends and formulating recommendations to HRSS Manager
  • Provision of subject matter end-to-end HR Payroll process expertise for assigned Payroll critical tasks and processes with a strong focus on delivering a quality service in a timely manner.
  • Thorough understanding of payroll tax impact and statutory remittance
  • Understand and work to meet Compliance requirements including providing feedback where required on the amendment of the Payroll Compliance (SOC1, SOC2) and Operational Controls.
  • What It Takes :

  • 3 years of relevant experience in HR Payroll operations or shared service model for a Philippine entity (must have supported APAC region and preferably exposed in knowledge transition activities).
  • Taking pride in delivering an excellent customer service experience
  • Building trust-based relationships with all key stakeholders
  • Excellent understanding of the complete payroll cycle including payroll reconciliations.
  • Exceptional problem solving, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
  • Pro-actively identifying and evaluating problems and determining root causes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
