Administers the Data Center environment including the control of personnel access, monitoring of the health of the facilities, and ensuring compliance to safety and health standards

Monitors management systems and ensures execution of refresh and restart procedures to address queuing and system hangs
Validates correctness and completeness of newly turned-over processes and procedures before final insertion to production
Participates in and supports all group efforts to improve development and infrastructure processes
Recommends or implements automation in process execution, validation and control to eliminate or reduce manual handling and error
Evaluates existing production process flow and recommends enhancements on already ineffective and inefficient procedures
Ensures all Operations personnel are equipped to perform operational activities through regular review of staff performance and enrollment of to technical training
Performs regular servers backed- up and restoration if necessary
Monitors security and orderliness of the Data Center rooms
Creates and / or modifies user accounts.
Records all system modifications and events in log.
Restarts / refreshes the system after panics, crashes, power failures.
Maintains security of hardware, software, data file access.
Checks system performance such as disk space, mail functionality, connections, printer status, auditing, communication links and others
Performs network diagnostic and provides resolution when needed
Generates detailed report of user disk utilization.
Remove temporary files including lost found files and *.out files
Re-tunes system and re-allocate resources, if necessary. System tuning''
Performs tape drive maintenance : clean heads and retention drive
Changes dial-in passwords, if necessary.
Changes root / Admin password.
Upgrades system and application software, as needed.
Re-distributes space in file systems. Adding disk space and restructuring filesystems'' or Maintaining free space in file systems
Does quarterly test on the restoration activities of backup Integrity
Participates actively in the Business Contingency Plan (BCP) preparation, planning and execution annually
Performs network storage analysis and server logs cleanup
Generates all reports necessary in systems administration
A graduate of Bachelor of Science major computer engineering technology or related fields
At least five (5) years related work experience in systems administration
Well versed in Windows NT, 2000, and XP servers, Microsoft Exchange 2007, Microsoft SQL Server 2005 / 2008, active directory, and IIS, Sun Unix, Linux, and Novell NetWare, Windows NT, 2000, 2003, 2008, and XP server, DNS, active directory, and IIS, Sun Unix, Linux, and Novell NetWare.
PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, LAN, WAN, TCP / IP, HTTP, FTP, IPX / SPX.
Able to meet multiple reporting deadlines
Capacity to attend to and make decisions when needed and demanded by the situation
