The Opportunity Turn data into insights

The Marketing Data Analyst is responsible for helping Gen unleash the potential of its marketing data. Their role is to own, manage and analyze Gen’s marketing data to create valuable insights that can be used to optimize performance.

The Marketing Data Analyst will support the ongoing transformation of the marketing function and our drive for predictable multi-channel lead generation.

Central to the success of this role is a deep understanding of marketing analytics and the ability to advise and guide other members of the marketing domain on the best course of action to optimize performance.

Core responsibilities include :

Developing insights for continuous improvement : Analyze and interpret data using a range of analysis and presentation tools and make recommendations for actions to optimize marketing performance.

Measurement : Development of relevant metrics and KPIs to determine ongoing performance of marketing and lead generation activities.

Reporting : Creation of marketing dashboards and reporting framework and ownership of ongoing reporting activities to monitor marketing performance.

Data stewardship : Ownership of all marketing and CRM data ensuring good data management practices and compliance with GDPR and other regional legislation.

Collaboration : Collaborate closely with colleagues in the marketing and sales domains and the multidisciplinary teams within Gen to ensure marketing insights are used to drive continuous improvement across the buyer journey.

Key Deliverables

  • Analysis and interpretation of marketing data from multiple sources to create insights that optimize marketing performance with the primary objective of optimizing lead generation activities and increasing the number of Marketing Qualified Leads.
  • Help Gen improve its understanding of how customers and prospects interact with the business via multiple channels to optimize buyer journeys.
  • Create a real-time dashboard and regular reporting system that helps the marketing domain and other internal stakeholders better understand prospect and customer paths to purchase.
  • Be the custodian of Gen’s marketing data. Drive excellent data management practices to ensure data quality and that Gen’s data complies with all relevant regional guidelines and legislations.

    This role reports to the Digital Marketing Manager and will be a key member of the growing marketing team. They will also be expected to build close relationships with colleagues from the Gen Sales and CX domains.

    They will also collaborate closely with digital marketing colleagues in Arcadis core

    What We Are Looking For

    The ideal candidate will have a passion for data and insights. We’re looking for someone highly analytical - but a head for numbers isn’t quite enough.

    The successful candidate will also be able to see the people behind the data and have a knack for using data to understand human behaviors and drive continuous improvement.

    It would be highly advantageous if their experience has been gained in a fast moving SaaS business where the focus is on driving a healthy and predictable lead generation engine.

    They will have a proven track record in analyzing, visualizing and reporting on data to create highly valuable insights and will need to feel comfortable advising others in the organization on where changes are needed based on their findings.

    Beyond that we are looking for someone who possesses :

  • A talent for visualizing data and communicating findings in an easy-to-understand way
  • A commercial mindset to drive value from insights
  • A brilliant combination of analytical skills and customer insights to really get under the skin’ of what the data is saying to understand paths to purchase
  • In-depth understanding of relevant analytical, reporting, visualization and presentation tools to allow clear communication of findings and recommendations
  • A thirst for learning constantly keeping updated on new trends, software and processes to enhance Gen’s digital marketing approach.
  • Experience using Hubspot CRM would be highly advantageous
