Leader responsible for the delivery of highly effective IT Strategic Planning and Portfolio Management services
o Establishes annual strategic planning objective, timeline and process
o Partners with Corporate Strategy counterparts to clearly understand and communicate business priorities
o Brings forward strong IT strategy thought leadership based upon on-going research into IT technology, process and organizational trends and practices
o Leads process to develop documented annual strategic plan clarifying priority objectives with clearly defined outcomes and definitions of success
o Ensures successful cascade of strategic plan to all key stakeholders business, technology and partners
o Facilitates process to regularly assess progress, making appropriate adjustments and ensure on-going stakeholder alignment
o Completes the design and implementation of McKesson Technology’s updated portfolio management operating model
Defining key stakeholders and requirements of each
Completing design and implementation, including resource model, of effective and efficient operating model enabling both enterprise and local portfolio management
Ensuring enabling technology is in production and utilized by all teams across McKesson Technology
o Leads the development of high-value, actionable enterprise (MT-wide) technology portfolio analyses and insights timely, accurate, strategy-aligned
o Advises technology and business leaders on opportunities to improve resource alignment and utilization in support of top business and technology priorities
o Partners with key stakeholders including Capability / Solution Leaders and Finance to ensure resource plan aligns with Strategic and Portfolio objectives
o Collaborates with business leaders to extend portfolio management capabilities as appropriate to provide increasingly valuable decision support and insights to leadership
o Provide overarching leadership to distributed portfolio management team driving consistency in approach and output and fostering an effective community of practice
