The Systems Engineer function is a technical position in Infrastructure department that will primarily handle VMWare,
Citrix and HyperV concerns. This position supports in-place technologies & technology users via defined procedures.
The position will report to the local Philippine Infrastructure Operations Manager and will be part of a team that will be
operating on 24X7 schedule and will responsible for providing support various Client IT business functions.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS :
Support and integrate our on premise Virtualization, Cloud infrastructure and systems with external cloud as needed. Ensure on premise and off premise workloads work well together.
Support environment that includes Windows OS, VMware, EMC VNX, IIS Web Servers, Clustering Technologies and various applications.
Identify, document, publish and uphold systems policies, standards, procedures, checklists, agreements, diagrams, inventory, and efficiently troubleshoot all issues and problems to ensure a timely and appropriate resolution.
Applies a combination of expert engineering knowledge of enterprise IT solutions to design, develop and / or implement solutions to ensure they are consistent with enterprise architecture policies and industry best practices.
Provides client consulting and training on the design and use of the virtual infrastructure, storage area network systems, and architectures.
May provide internal consulting, technical guidance, information and support to application developers; computer operations;
workstation support; management; and departmental clients.
Perform installation, upgrading, monitoring, testing, and servicing of associated technology systems required
Participate in general Infrastructure troubleshooting and issue resolution where needed.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS :
Active Directory Support and Maintenance
Microsoft Exchange Messaging Support and Maintenance
Implements and provides operational support for Microsoft System Center suite (SCCM, SCOM).
Install and configure storage arrays and allocate SAN and NAS storage to different OS platforms and / or administer storage pools, file system, snapshots and clones.

Possess and further develop understanding of general industry usage of supported technologies.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : Preferred Education :

Advanced education in Information Technology, Computer Science or related fields preferred
Preferred Experience :
5+ years' experience in design and architecture for a VMWare based infrastructure environment.
4+ Years Citrix Support Experience
3+ Year experience with VMWare technologies
3+ Year experience with Microsoft Server technologies
Skills / Competencies :
Technical Proficiency - Extensive working experience with required technologies and can handle advanced & complex tasks.
Experience with maintenance and configuration of VMWare security and hardening servers.
Netscaller configuration, administration and maintenance.
Design, build, implementation and support experience of global citrix farms.
Experience with VMware and knowledge of other server and desktop virtualization technologies
Experience in other technologies such as server hardware (Cisco UCS, HP, Nutanix), Storage (EMC / Nimble / 3Par, Nutanix), RedHat (RHEL / Ansible), a plus.
Analytical Abilities - Advanced problem-solving skills including working collaboratively with peer technical bteams to analyze & resolve cross-
platform problems or to develop problem-solving techniques, tools & instruction for new or complex technologies
