The Commercial Capital group in India and Philippines is part of the Commercial Capital Business group in the Bank. The teams in this group manage commercial lending front office related roles such as origination and documentation support, financial spreading, collateral management, portfolio management, periodic borrower credit assessment and underwriting.
The Corporate Trust business of the Bank is also supported by this team. In addition, the team takes care of business reporting, technical writing and procedure publishing activities and provides business analyst support to key applications used in the Commercial Capital group.
About the Role
Build and manage, directly and through subordinates, delivery activities for multiple functional units of the Commercial Capital organization.
The delivery activities would include front office support functions like underwriting, portfolio management, annual reviews, spreading collateral management and also operational areas like data governance and quality assurance and technical writing.

Responsible for leading the transition and seamlessly setting up new function
Directly manages teams comprising Underwriters / portfolio managers / credit support teams / Team Lead / SMEs and Operations Managers
Interacts and / or negotiates with senior level business partners in the Bank
Flexibility to work in shifts & open for lateral opportunities as per the business requirements
Takes a lead role in developing and implementing best practices
Increases effectiveness of staff and tools by recognizing opportunities for development and proactively creating new systems and structures
Manages operations of various shared service functions supporting multiple lines of businesses ensuring transitions progress smoothly and process meets its agreed metrics
Responsible for creating and monitoring business goals for team that align to Enterprise goals (including LoB expectations)
Fosters strong relationship with LOB leaders through regular communication
Ensures Wells Fargo people strategy is implemented with focus on growth and development needs of team members
Plans, Executes and Responsible for People, Process, Risk, Operational Excellence
Process improvement and redesign - proactively identify, analyze and improve existing processes / process reengineering.
Supports policy and procedure administration, rating agency reviews, Regulatory requirements, Compliance, Risk Management, Enterprise Information Technology and Legal
Responsible to handle escalation and provide speedy resolution
Market Skills and Certifications
Qualifications desired :
Chartered accountants / MBA Finance or equivalent is preferred; Bachelor's Degree (Commerce mandatory) or equivalent is required
Experience of more than 16+ years in similar organizations in the commercial banking area
Experience in building and managing diverse teams in the Philippines and handling global senior stakeholders an essential requirement
Should have experience in financial and non-financial due diligence of corporate entities
Knowledge in Credit Analysis, US GAAP, IFRS, ABL Financing, Financial Statement Analysis, Borrower & Collateral Analysis.
Proficient and advanced ability with US business writing skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication & organizational skills with proven abilities in customer relationship management
Strong analytical skills
Experience of working across one or more geographic territories or regions
Amenable to working on a 5pm-2am shift
