    Description :

    Provides support and guidance to employees and managers regarding Time & Attendance policies, procedures and technology.

    Reviews timecards and time off records to ensure compliance with policies and pay rules, accurate entry and accuracy of time files for payroll processing.

    Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Subject matter expert(s) for time and attendance system and applicable policies and processes. Ability to clearly articulate system features and functionality, and guide employees through system navigation while adhering to company policies.
  • Through application of this knowledge, respond to employee and manager inquiries via phone and email relative to policy, process, time and attendance rules and technology navigation.

  • Regularly review and analyze all timecards to clear exceptions, ensure time worked and paid time off are captured accurately and ensure all time collection devices are on line and working correctly.
  • Responsible for understanding and ability to articulate time entry and paid time off data as it calculates into payroll.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of payroll cycles, accrual process and applicable differences between employee types (exempt, non-exempt, shift eligible, union, etc.).

  • Work in collaboration with Leave Administration to ensure employee records and pay are correct and the company policies are accurately applied for employees on leave.
  • Participate in preparation of bi-weekly payroll processing activities including running audits, approving timecards, reviewing timecards with zero hours recorded, clearing of exceptions and processing prior period adjustments or edits to ensure they are incorporated in the current payroll cycle.
  • Generate reports, conduct audits, research and resolve issues, compile metrics and participate in system testing as required.
  • Conduct Time & Attendance training as part of the New Hire Orientation, ensuring new employees review and understand the time and attendance policy, procedures and technology.
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 2 to 4 years experience working in Time Administration, Human Resources, Payroll, HRIS or related experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal communication as well as professionally articulate written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with an HRMS tool preferred but not required
  • High level of technical aptitude in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Outstanding organizational, prioritization and time management skills required
  • Problem-solving, analytical skills and attention to detail required
  • Strong customer service skills and quality orientation required
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality required
