The EHS Officer needs to ensure that EHS and R2 activities and programs are implemented, tracked and monitored, to ensure company is 100% compliant to applicable legal and other requirements.
Ensure that the company's Emergency Response Plan and Program are implemented
Conduct regular and comprehensive EHS Inspections to improve overall working condition and employee satisfaction
Keep track on the implementation of EHS Objectives and R2 programs. Ensure that programs are implemented and targets are met
Track and monitor compliance to legal and other requirement. Conduct of regular evaluation of compliance
Do documentations related to EHS (minutes of meeting, inspection and audit reports, EHS investigations, others)
Track and monitor closure and validate effectiveness of corrective actions for EHS incidents, Internal / External complaints received, EHS inspections / audits
Organize, conduct and monitor EHS trainings and seminars. As necessary make updates and / or develop new training modules to effectively disseminate and implement new EHS requirements
Monitor safety compliance on contractor works thru Work permit System
Monitor new changes and improvements in the process, the layout and including introduction of new machines to ensure that hazards and risks are assess and control measures implemented.
Make updates on the Environmental Aspects and HIRADC
Conduct chemical assessment to ensure regulatory requirement on the purchase, use, handling and disposal of chemical are secured.
Ensure that hazards and risks of the chemicals are assess and control measures are implemented m
Manage waste disposal to reduce residual waste volume and improve income from recyclable materials. Conduct inspection at disposal sites including monitoring of transport, treatment and final disposal of hazardous wastes.
Monitor internal and external communications and ensure that responses are made. Ensure that complaints are escalated, and corrective actions are implemented.
Provide support activities to improve preparedness and response of the company to emergencies
Conduct and monitor internal audit including implementation and closure of corrective actions
Propose, initiate and conceptualize EHS improvements
Other duties that may be assigned from time to time by immediate superior
Requirements / Skills
Bachelor's Degree preferably in engineering
With BOSH training
Must possess high level of technical competence in the areas of Environment, Health and Safety with at least 2 years of experience in manufacturing industry
Familiar with EHS related laws and regulations
With background in OHSAS 18001 : 2017 and ISO 14001 : 2015
Accredited Pollution Control Officer from previous work / s
Certified Internal Auditor under ISO 19011
Proficient in MS Office Applications
