Job description : Candidate may be assigned to any of the following Finance Operations Functions
1.Accounts Payable Team
Monthly completion of bank and General Ledger reconciliations, adopting a right first-time approach with minimal error. The role holder is responsible for ensuring no aged items on the balance sheet and escalating where required.
Responsible for the completion and analysis of monthly Blackline statistics, reporting results timely to the T&E Finance Team Manager.
Responsible for triggering the early alert process for potential financial impacts and key decision maker on actions required.
Adherence to the Travel & Expense controls framework for Finance is key to this role.
2.Reporting and Analysis Team
Perform standard accounting activities accurately and in line with timetable (General ledger / Fixed asset accounting activity)
Performing analyst role in balance sheet reconciliations ensuring all control requirements met on a timely basis
3.Hydrocarbon Management Team
Responsible in monitoring inventory movements between the business and third-party companies.
Validate movements scheduled in inventory tracking system against actual movements in System Applications (SAP)
Perform end of month exchange reconciliation
Reports discrepancies to Control Accountant / Team Lead as soon as identified
Operate assigned scope in the area of Contracts & Pricing, Hydrocarbon Management Exchange, Stock Recording & Reconciliation or Stock Valuation with embedded controls / SOAR analysis and focal point roles
4.Retail Billing Team
Manage the billing process of items not interfacing automatically
Manage Daily fuel and CR sales are sourced / polled from Retail Site Systems and transferred to GSAP
Analyze open items in Accounts Receivable (Invoices and Cards)
Ensures that items due for collection is included Daily payment run
5.Group Services & Recoveries Operations
Perform debt chasing and account management activities
Thorough account reconciliation with counterparties
Communication of revenue accruals
Preparation of ad-hoc reports not in-scope of MI
Provide support in audit requirements and customer requests
Conduct all Credit Activities as part of the underwriting’ / customer / counterparty ongoing maintenance process for all trading & marketing businesses globally. These include :
Re-evaluation of existing counterparties the core part of the role includes performing Risk Assessment of existing customers achieved through assessment and analysis of Business Model (i.
e. Competitive Positioning, financial performance and inherent macro and sovereign risks to determine appropriate Credit Rating and Credit Limit).
Specific focus on lower risk counterparties whose evaluation is driven by a more process oriented assessment. Credit limits in scope will range into the $M depending on the risk profile of the counterparty.
Data Integrity Update and maintain the relevant Credit & Trading systems through the Credit Assessment life cycle, in particular updating new Credit Ratings and Open Credit Lines and communicating the outcome of assessments to relevant stakeholders, notably the Commercial Credit Managers and the T&S commercial business.
Perform ongoing (often daily) Credit Operational activities which include but not limited to : Effective operation of regular data integrity control, which aligns all system data with the relevant credit data, approved within each credit assessment.
Contracting matters ad hoc queries on contracts including liaison with Relevant Credit Managers.
Support the Commercial Business - Provide interpretation of credit policy and guide the businesses on the principles of sound credit management.
Keep up-to-date on issues within the businesses by having close relationships with the sales managers and reading information from industry sources.
Deliver timely & accurately results of assigned activitiesAccountabilities :
Complete all assigned indirect tax scope (Low to medium activities) in a timely and accurate manner, with supervision of senior staff, when required
Participate in team projects
Resolve and escalate issues timely and effectively.
Comply with team, centre, process and global polices and procedures.
Effectively interfaces with FO and non FO stakeholders, build end to end perspective.- SOAR Analyst.- Ensure operational effectiveness of the controls within areas of responsibility.
