JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
The Department of Public Health Sciences is looking for a part-time candidate to perform research and administrative activities for various population health studies related to cardiovascular disease.
Duties include the following ones : subject recruitment, conducting semi-structured interviews, qualitative data analysis using NVIVO software, literature review, and assist in the preparation of papers for publication.
The ideal candidate would be very organized and detail oriented, and has practical experience in a research setting. Commitment to working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and strong oral and written communication skills are required.
The appropriate candidate should hold a Bachelor s degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are recommended.
Experience with NVIVO or other qualitative software is a plus. This position is a 6-month appointment for 5 hours per week.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
