JOB SUMMARY

The Accounting Clerk is the person responsible for the proper recording and / orencoding and updating the Books of Accounts for effective and efficient reconciliation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

RECORDING / ENCODING / CHECKING :

1. Ensures 100% accurate and on time encoding and recording of the following to the

Accounting System :

  • Official Receipts with proper classification based on the attachedcorresponding Sales Invoices / Summary of Training.
  • Check Vouchers taking into consideration the subsidiary ledgers forAdvances & other company loans.
  • Adjusting Journal Entries that are necessary for proper & timely recording of
  • transactions.

    2. Ensures 100% accurate and on time preparation and submission of the following reports / documents :

  • Petty Cash Fund Liquidation (Manila, Bunga & Capipisa).
  • Summary of Withholding Tax due every Month, Quarterly and Annually.
  • Statement of Accounts (SOA).
  • Weekly and Monthly report of Sales per SOA, per client and clients waiting or billing.
  • Certificate of Completion to be delivered by messenger to various Clients.
  • 3. Performs 100% review and counter checking of accuracy, completeness and

    correctness of the following :

  • Summary of overtime / (time cards) submitted by HR for CTSI employees and utility staff (security guards & janitors).
  • Practicum allowances submitted by Training Coordinator.
  • Billing of suppliers with proper attachment before check preparation.
  • Billings of LBC bills (mails) to clients against the amount billed on SOA.
  • Marketing report on Hotel Bills and meals versus amount billed on SOA.
  • Department’s Office Supplies delivered by Purchasing Staff.
  • DOCUMENTATION

    1. Ensures 100% proper, organized and on time filing of the following documents :

  • Official Receipts classified by bank
  • Check Vouchers according to serial numbers.
  • Journal Vouchers per month.
  • Statement of Accounts or Sales Invoices with payments
  • File various files so as to be available whenever other departments need them.
  • OTHERS :

    1. Performs all other functions that may be assigned to him / her from time to time.

    2. Timely execution and completion of other work assignments and projects entrusted by his / her direct superior from time to time.
