We wish to inform you that the DSWD-NCR, Reception and Study Center for Children is inviting applicants for the vacant position of Houseparent II :

Ø One (1) Houseparent II

Salary Grade / Salary : 06 Php 12,921.00

Qualification Standards (Per CSC MC 1, s. 1997)

Education : High School Graduate

Training : Four (4) hours of relevant training

Experience : One (1) year of relevant experience

Eligibility : None Required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Social Sciences
  • Certificate along practical nursing and caregiver is an advantage
  • With good coordination, communication and report writing skills
  • Home and Client Management
  • Commitment to Social Protection and Development
  • Flexible and with initiative
  • Must be willing to render duty on a shifting schedule
  • Primary Functions :

    vImplements home life activities for safety, care and behavioral modification of wards / residents of the center, orients house rules and regulations of the center and monitors adherence.

    vProvides home life session and oversees activities for the wards.

    vConducts group session / recreational activities.

    vProvides guidance on table manners / settings, work and spiritual activities, good grooming and home management of personal effects.

    vPrepares and submits behavioral observation reports.

    vActs as watchers in hospitals

    vFollows-up children in schools and escorts minor to their place of origin

    vPerforms other related tasks as may be assigned.

  • Internal staff should submit performance evaluation from immediate supervisor and performance rating which is at least very satisfactory for the last rating period (July to December 2013 and January to June 2014) :
