GHD has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to help grow GHD’s water presence and market shares across the Region.

Primary Functions :

  • Business Development relating to all business streams, promoting growth and balanced profitability for the Region
  • Promote the shared vision of the Strategy Plan and assist in implementation
  • Leadership in developing projects which improves GHD’s involvement through utilisation of multi disciplines
  • Responsibilities :

  • Identify Strategic Clients and develop Client Relationship Management Plans for these clients, with nominated Client Managers
  • Identify major short and long term project opportunities and coordinate campaigns to win these projects
  • Drive and coordinate business development / marketing activities
  • Promote relationships with existing and potential clients with the aim of growing business by improving client relationships and strengthening repeat business.
  • Expand client base by identifying new clients and promoting GHD’s services.
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities within the existing client base and assist relevant Business Group Leaders with these opportunities
  • Act as a business development mentor for other managers in the Region
  • Collaborate closely with Chief Marketing Officer to enable coordinated delivery of business development / marketing services
  • Identify areas of practice that require improvement to meet present or future opportunities.
  • Drive and own the Client Satisfaction eSurveys, providing feedback and guidance to Project Directors / Managers
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, and Business Administration or other equivalent courses
  • Minimum of 10 to 15 years’ proven experience in the water sector with at least 5 years business development tasks for a service company
  • Technical consulting industry knowledge and business acumen
  • Personal Proficiencies :

  • Strong team development skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written & oral, good negotiation, problem solving, presentation, planning and time management skills
  • Outstanding people relationship and networking skills, extensive personal network
  • Extensive knowledge across the range of business stream activities
  • Excellent judgment and decisiveness, bias for action
