BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION :
1. Formulate the Business Development Strategy
Design a scalable, flexible, and purposeful business development strategy that can align external trends with internal strengths and affinities.
Evaluate the effectiveness of the business development strategy throughout the year and modify accordingly.
2. Manage Business Development Activities
Perform extensive market analysis to identify trends of needs on the sector, industry, and company level.
Guide other project managers to do the same within their respective sector / industry bounds.
Coordinate with project managers to identify the most marketable aspects of Pointwest's available or potential products and / or services.
Guide project managers to develop the marketability of the identified products and / or services, along with the design of potential products and / or services to coincide with external trends.
Consolidate the business development efforts of all project managers to be consistent with the branding strategy.
Ensure that the Business Development team performs all the preceding business development activities.
3. General Responsibilities
Monitor individual performance of, maintain team morale of, and provide feedback to the Business Development team.
Keep professional knowledge and expertise in industry-specific business trends up-to-date.
Keep knowledge of Pointwest's resources and capabilities accurate, detailed, and up-to-date.
Apply knowledge of internally and externally sourced best practices in work.
Mentor and coach others in business development and other fields of expertise.
Participate in the design, development, and execution of a Business Development curriculum for manager-level and pre-manager-level employees.
Document best practices in processes and methods to guide future endeavors.
Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's / College Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management, or any similar course.
Candidate must possess at least seven (7) years of work-related experience in business development for the IT industry and at least three (3) years of management experience in business development for the IT industry.
Candidate must possess excellent communication and presentation skills.
Candidate must possess the ability to negotiate and persuade effectively.
Candidate must display seasoned knowledge of and possess practical experience with qualitative and quantitative business analysis.
Candidate must display knowledge of and possess practical experience with agile methods.
Candidate must display knowledge of and possess practical experience with software engineering, workforce planning, and project management.
Candidate must display strong problem solving skills, sharp critical thinking, and sound business judgment.
Candidate must be hardworking, tenacious, and creative.
Candidate must be willing to be assigned to Quezon City, Ortigas, and / or Makati City.
