About the Opportunity
Monitoring and reporting of accurate costs quantity and manpower information for site construction progress.
Establishes progress performance of construction contracts calculated on the basis of earned value practice.
Becomes familiar with entire construction schedule.
Develops information obtained from the budget or definitive estimate reflecting quantities.
Develops quantity and productivity curves.
Assesses this information and compares with the definitive estimate.
Synopsis of Responsibilities of Cost Controller in the Production of a Cost Report
Receives from Planner percentages complete and quantities installed.
Receives from Planner subcontractor's report on work completion and evaluates subcontractor's performance based on progress earned versus hours expended recorded on force reports.
Codes field purchases for Material Controller.
Receives from Material Controller reports on field purchases.
Codes tools, equipment and consumable supplies reported by Material Controller and makes projections to complete either on rate / month or as a percentage of labour.
Provides to Project Controls Manager reports on man-hours required to complete for each code of account and subcontract package.
Gives to Project Controls Manager reports re : performance ratios by contract package and account and prepares narrative explaining reasons for significant variances.
Price breakdown shall be developed to be compatible with construction activities.
Receives from Field Planning Engineer estimates of man-hours on cost plus contracts.
Produces Cost Report and obtains approval of the Project Controls Manager.
Takes an active role in the implementation of the HSE Program.
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or another related field.
At least 10 or more years’ experience on field works required.
Strong technical skills and team participation to help drive projects toward successful completion
confident in communication with good presentation skills
