Position Overview

The Corporate Governance Content team is part of MSCI’s ESG business. This team leverages complex business knowledge, requirements, regulations and processes in support of the effective implementation of the MSCI Corporate Governance methodology.

The team undertakes research and analysis, monitors, implements, investigates, remediates and reports on all aspects Corporate Governance data acquisition and analysis.

The CG Content Vice President will initiate and execute strategic Corporate Governance Content strategies to meet business requirements and market demands.

Scope of Responsibility

The Vice President position is responsible for :

Management and Operations

1.Implement and maintain operational plans for key corporate governance data operations activities to ensure compliance with MSCI Corporate Governance Methodology

2.Ensure efficient and timely coordination of production targets and monitor related databases

3.Conduct quality assurance and quality control on processed information for high-profile companies using acceptable methods, techniques and sources

4.Monitor and analyze vendor and CG-operations data team performance in support of project deliveries and workflow processes

5.Analyze performance metrics (timeliness, efficiency, quality, controls) and implement opportunities for continuous improvement

6.Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify potential data issues and resolutions and perform root cause analysis if issues with the data are identified

7.Undertake impact analysis on new internal team policies and procedures on corporate governance data operations.

8.Initiate and execute projects that aim to improve the team’s workflow and QA processes and ensure that these are executed in line with the ESG team’s Change Management Processes

9.Research, recommend, and implement technology and content opportunities to improve product quality and operational efficiencies.

10.Work with other teams within MSCI ESG in support of planned product enhancements and expansions

11.Be involved in strategic discussions about scaling up operations, process changes, business priorities, client expectations etc

Stakeholder Engagement

1.Create and maintain productivity metrics and monthly reports for stakeholder engagement and updates

2.Provide updates and analysis on CG productivity metrics and solicit feedback from product stakeholders

3.Point person for both internal and client queries regarding CG Data, ensuring that these queries are addressed in a timely manner

Specific Knowledge / Skills

1.At least a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or similar field of study.A post-graduate degree is a plus.

2.Candidates with project management experience will be prioritized.

Desired Experience

1.A minimum of 7 years relevant working experience (i.e., library / database research, etc.) in a high-quality process and production -

driven environment, with at least 3-4 years’ experiencein leading a team.

2.Experience with intensive stakeholder engagement and high level communication are pluses.

3.Effectiveness in working with cross-functional and multi-national teams.

4.Working knowledge of Corporate Governance.

1.Excellent communication skills in English.

2.Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with clear attention to detail.

3.Highly motivated, independent, results-oriented, and possesses a strong sense of ownership.
