We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to oversee and lead the Geotechnical & Geology team and assist the Business Group Leader in carrying out and delivering professional service tasks of appropriate scope and complexity.
Responsibilities include :
Estimating and monitoring the financial performance, forward workload, fee income and staff costs.
Imparting technical expertise to the junior member of the team and to upskill them.
Provide support to other service disciplines and to other GHD regions delivering infrastructure, mining, transportation, tunneling, water related, energy, bridges, port and harbour and industrial projects.
Building upon based workload by developing new business opportunities with external clients by : Being client facing, understanding the local market and its needs.
Proposal preparation and assisting the service line in the winning and delivery of individual commissions. Working proactively on promoting the Geotechnical Service Line Capabilities to potential clients (new or existing).
Providing a vision for the achievement of this growth in line with GHD’s strategic objectives and to produce a personal business plan to manage its implementation.
Managing where necessary commercial and contractual risks to GHD.
Skills, Competencies and Qualifications :
A Bachelor's degree in Geology, Civil or Geotechnical Engineering. Acquired license is a plus.
Minimum 10 years' of relevant work experience
Strong technical ability in the following : Engineering Geological and Geotechnical Mapping Hazard identification and mapping Rock Mass definition / classification Site Investigation planning, management, interpretation Rock slope stability and stabilisation Cuttings and excavation assessments Landslide identification, assessment, stabilisation Mining and Open Pit Geotechnics Underground / Tunnelling Geotechnics Geotechnical Risk Assessment Borehole logging Use of Geotechnical softwares such as geo-slope Construction / Stabilisation design and management Foundation design and assessment (deep and shallow) Dams related Geotechnics Geotechnical reporting
Well-developed communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to build rapport with others. Shows ability to influence with or without formal authority.
Ability to develop and maintain client relationships

The position is open to be assigned in Makati, Quezon City and Cebu City office, depending on your location and preference.
