As an Test Application Engineer, you will be responsible for oversees the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
Maintain current records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues. Study equipment performance and reliability.
Establish programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process.
Provide technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations.
Responsibilities include :
Perform equipment installation, tool improvement activities, maintenance, alarm compilation of Semiconductor equipment
Perform repair, troubleshooting of equipment to minimize downtime
Identify equipment failures, pareto of issues and weak point analysis for improvement
Drive continuous improvement program, cost reduction, yield, MTBF & OEE / OEU improvement
Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults and repair equipment
Work on improvement projects to assure continuous reliability of production equipment and processes to achieve high equipment productivity and low downtime.
Maintain optimum utilization of equipment and resources and constantly review methods of OEE management to reduce tool downtime and increase equipment throughput.
Liaise with equipment vendors and spare parts suppliers continuously to develop new methods to achieve low cost maintenance system.
Set-up SPC for equipment critical parameters monitoring and control
Formulate with process engineering team on all equipment control procedures
Incorporate efficient methods of maintaining new equipment or plant, and may be involved in the installation and commissioning process.
Write maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines
Ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.
Performs other duties as assigned. Duties will vary according to the project progress and / or the specific goals of the division.
Minimum Requirements :
BS degree EE / ECE, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics or related engineering degree
Minimum 5 years working experience in the field of Equipment Engineering & Maintenance. Hands-on experience in equipment troubleshooting and PM, engineering methods for equipment controls and OEE improvement.
Strong knowledge and experience in parts repair.
Experience in technical support of ATE systems Teradyne (ETS364, ETS800,J750,Uflex,Iflex) and Advantest (93k)
Preferred Qualifications :
Knowledge of tools and methodologies like SPC, EFMEA, FMEA, DOE, Fish-Bone Analysis, etc.
Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience on tool monitoring and interdiction software, and equipment maintenance and documentation
Experienced with semiconductor cleanroom protocol and behaviors.
Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
