We wish to inform you that the DSWD-National Capital Region is inviting applicants for the vacant positions with details :

A.Position : One (1) Social Welfare Officer III

Place of Assignment : Emergency Assistance Unit- Crisis Intervention

Salary Grade : 18

Item Number : OSEC-DSWDB-SOCWO3-279-2004

Compensation : Php 31,351.00

B. Minimum Qualification Standards (Per CSC MC 1, s. 1997)

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Social Work

Training : Eight (8) hours of relevant training

Experience : Two (2) years of relevant experience

Eligibility : RA 1080 (Social Worker)

C. Job Additional Requirements / Additional Competencies :

Education : BS in Social Work preferably with MS in Social Work

Training : Eight (8) hours of training in counseling, case interviewing

and facilitation skills

Experience : Two (2) years in handling case management

Competencies : Case Counseling; Case Management; Networking and

  • Linkages; Records Management;
  • Primary Functions :

    vReviews all documents pertaining to the client’s need for assistance and recommends approval / disapproval of assistance.

    vExecutes and implements policies and programs of the section / unit.

    vSupervises social workers, welfare aides and administrative staff in the performance of their duties

  • vConducts regular supervisory conference;
  • vRenders administrative decisions on matters within the limits of delegated authority.

    vRecommends allocation of funds and manages disbursement of funds to the clients.

    vSubmits all reportorial requirements.

    vConducts program evaluation.

  • Valid PRC Report of Rating and License (if applicable)
  • Civil Service Certificate of Eligibility (if applicable)
  • Internal staff should submit performance evaluation from immediate supervisor and performance rating which is at least very satisfactory for the last rating period (July to December 2013) :

    Request for extension of submission will not be entertained. Applicants who failed to submit the complete requirements are considered disqualified.
