The relentless pursuit of better As a Communications Specialist, you’ll be working within the Talent Acquisition (TA) Employer Brand team, helping attract global talent for Western Union.

Using your experience and creativity, you’ll help promote a positive brand perception through marketing- and communications-related activities and encourage engagement with current and potential candidates.

As you research our company, some of the content you see is within your scope. You’ll also build effective partner relationships with stakeholders, teammates, senior leaders, and others, e.

g., marketing, social media, HR, legal, creative agencies, etc. You will hone your skills as a communications professional, develop tactics to support the overall TA strategies, and deepen your knowledge of our innovative branding including your communications to ensure campaign and recruitment content is well-written, on-brand, and on message.

In turn, you’ll learn how the words you use to tell the Western Union story are imperative to the world of recruitment. Education or equivalent experience is required, with at least three to five years of related experience in Communications, Journalism, or Marketing for this role.

You will have demonstrated capabilities in writing effectively, helping to build an overall employer value proposition and attract talent.

You will be creative with exceptional written skills and the utmost attention to detail. The role is remote from the hiring manager, so you will work individually or collaborate in an extremely fast-paced environment, dealing with ambiguity, making quick decisions, and managing multiple projects and tight timelines.

Bonus skills include working knowledge of social media as a communications channel, brand monitoring & responding to reviews on sites like Glassdoor or Indeed, drafting candidate communications, and experience writing for a global, multi-cultural company.
