We are looking for IP Engineers to be part of a Network Migration team. This team is responsible for completing network migration projects on a National Network.
This work will involve following a MOP to move or active routers onto the network. Selected candidates will be involved in pre-
migration planning, equipment configuration changes, and post-migration verification.
Engineer and reconfigure switches and routers i.e. Cisco and Juniper
Change and / or build new subscriber configuration in routers
Configure and turn-up new hardware if necessary
Troubleshoot over the phone
Required Skills and Competencies :
Familiarity with basic commands and configuration of JunOS and JunOSe systems. An understanding of subscriber termination for those platforms (DHCP and PPP) and basic layer 3 knowledge.
Configuration knowledge of loopback interface creation, ACLs, prefix lists, RADIUS, TACACs, and profiles,
Knowledge of and practical experience in the use of ATM, DSL technologies, Ethernet, and their related network designs
Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
Minimum 2 - 3 years of data networking experience
Minimum 2+ years experience network switch configurations
Must be able to work in a team environment
Must have previous experience with provisioning / troubleshooting Ethernet switches and Routers
Experience with planning and implementation of switching configurations
Experience with planning and implementation of Ethernet networks
Experience in provisioning and troubleshooting the following equipment is Juniper MX480s, ERX 1440s and E320s.
Recommended Certifications :
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Cisco, Juniper MX480s ERX 1440s E320 DHCP, PPP , ACLs, prefix lists, RADIUS, TACACs
