Purpose & Accountabilities :
The S4 Finance Process Lead will be integral in helping to build S4 capability to be able to establish a standard SAP S4 process also considering the increasing private cloud implementations.
Delivering this project would be significantly beneficial cost wise, hence the lead would need to be firm in the standardization and simplification of the process.
S4 Finance Process Lead is expected to translate complex and different processes from the existing 45+ ERP’s across all business areas in Shell to a singular S / 4 HANA design.
This will involve extensive collaboration and influencing across all Process Executive / Process Owner areas typically at the executive level in Shell’s organization.
The role will be handling a variety of accounting issues and activities in their specific process, utilizing experience and analytical skills to assess complex problems and design solutions under challenges imposed by early stage maturity of the S4 next generation ERP.
Leading the design and ensure integrity of solutions for the entire end to end Finance process.
The successful candidate must possess strong communication skills and be capable of developing highly effective relationships with various stakeholders including the ability to challenge the status quo.
The role holder needs to be able handle a variety of accounting issues and activities in their specific process, utilizing experience and analytical skills to assess complex problems and design solutions under challenges imposed by early stage maturity of the S4 next generation ERP.
Design and ensure integrity of solutions for the entire end to end Finance process which they are the lead for.
Responsibilities include leading involvement in new S4 public cloud pathfinder projects for their Finance process, ongoing S4 private cloud deploys and activities supporting readiness of further implementations.
These include but are not limited to :
Supporting the business assessments around the development of the next generation ERP SAP / 4 HANA roadmap in the attempt to close the gap with standard SAP functionality
Designing, confirming and then deploying fit for purpose S4 Global standards per Process and associated controls
Input into the Enterprise Data model and also ensuring deployments meet the minimum data standards
Legacy ERP simplification and review of customisations along with the IT CoE Design authorities, Business Excellence teams and Global Process owners
Manage requests for step outs from standard, changes and enhancements
Provide change management & training with regards to system and process changes as further S4 pathfinders and then pilots are deployed
Support efforts of user acceptance testing, training and stabilization
Work with the NextGen IT Centre of Expertise (CoE) in identifying and prioritizing process enhancements and continuous improvement opportunities
Knowledge transfer of process and functionality changes to user community, interpreting SAP public cloud quarterly scope releases and bi-
annual innovations for private cloud along with the IT CoE
