Manulife’s Finance Operations is seeking for an individual, who is obsessed with delivering value, is forward-thinking, and is primarily responsible for management sales reporting through timely and accurate service delivery.

The role is responsible for providing business insights through in-depth and thorough data gathering, scrubbing transformation and analysis.

The role will assist in developing standardized reports, dashboards and self-service access to critical information for individuals across all the functional groups within Manulife.

The candidate must need to become quickly familiar with the data, its structure, and have strong business acumen (in finance, strategy, marketing, technology, products) which will allow to create meaningful insights in support of the business.

  • We are looking for someone with :

  • 3 years’ experience in management reporting, finance or strategy
  • Degree in finance, business administration, math, statistics, economics and other quantitative discipline with strong business and finance background.
  • Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Curious, highly motivated self-starter who is adept at problem solving and comfortable with learning new analytical skills.
  • A high degree of organizational skills, ability to set priorities, manage multiple demands and the ability to complete tasks under strict timelines is required.
  • Ability to work across multiple departments.
  • Self-motivated person with a positive, professional attitude and ability to work independently and on teams.
  • Flexible and self-motivated, with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Nice to Haves :

  • Working experience in Power BI is a plus
  • On the job you will :

  • Work with the senior analyst to help define business requirements; identify potential data sources and solutions; and assist in developing customized reports, analyses, and / or data visualizations that answer the business problem.
  • Assist in business insights development that can uncover growth and expense levers (revenue or cost), identify, evaluate and size opportunities to improve business value
  • Ensure data is presented in a structured and easy to understand manner with actionable insights. Provides research and data gathering activities to enrich the data set
  • Implement controls on processes that ensure data integrity and accuracy across the entire reporting workflow
  • Manage assigned projects and support activities of team. Ensure prompt completion of specific deliverables. Ensure accuracy and efficiency in project completion and work cooperatively with all internal and external contacts.
  • Participate in weekly project meetings and be able to effectively communicate updates and deliverables to the team and its stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to data management / data governance regulations and policies.
