Description :

To provide support to the different aspects of Fluid and Motion Control Sales and Marketing, focusing on Business Intelligence and Data Analysis in the creation of business-related reports, analyses and database management as needed by the business unit.

Responsibilities :

Duty 1 : Metrics, Reporting and Analytics

Report Scoping and Planning

  • Monitors incoming emails in common mailbox and respond to customer inquiries
  • Updates internal trackers and databases to ensure that all transactions / requests are recorded
  • Coordinates and validates with stakeholders on reporting requirements (product quality metrics, new vs. legacy).
  • Data Gathering

  • Extracts / generates quantitative and qualitative information from a single or multiple tools
  • Gathers and collates data from different sources based on approved requirements (Established Simple Reporting)
  • Communicates with resource person to get input / raw data needed for report generation
  • Extracts / generates quantitative and qualitative information from databases using standard queries. (basic coding)
  • Performs data validation to achieve data consistency
  • Data Manipulation

  • Cleans extracted data using pre-defined guidelines or instructions.
  • Formats extracted data based on expected report output. (with batching capability)
  • Formats extracted data based on expected report output. (multiple data formatting requirements)
  • Consolidates and standardize data structure from different data sources
  • Combines extracted data from multiple resources using automated tools (excel, macro, database)
  • Categorizes and segments extracted data using tools to convert data to information relevant to the report (excel, macro, database)
  • Calculates data using available fields within the gathered information. (basic math)
  • Data Analysis

  • Gathers and analyzes report requirements from stakeholders. Identify and provide solution to general inquiries
  • Analyzes gathered information & data using descriptive analytics (basic mathematics & comparative analysis)
  • Reporting

  • Provides status updates on report development, raise issues encountered and adjust timeline as appropriate.
  • Creates reports based on standard templates
  • Generate, analyze, create report / dashboard from different sources and submit to requestor
  • Duty 2 : Project Support

    Continuous Process & Innovation

  • Identifies continuous improvement project ideas
  • Project Initiation

  • Attends scope reviews to learn what the project request is all about.
  • Project Planning

  • Encodes documentation using standard project templates; stores and organizes the documents to the team repository
  • Provides own work estimates and can negotiate turnaround time within the team
  • Informs the project lead on changes
  • Project Execution

  • Follows set standards and guidelines of the team.
  • Reports own progress back to project tracker
  • Participates in cross-functional testing and peer reviews
  • Duty 3 : Customer Data Administration

    Customer Common Name Database Administration

  • Receives assigned customer record / s from Marketing Analyst
  • Searches, validates, adds and / or updates the customer common name and 8-digit SIC Code in a temporary database
  • Informs the Marketing Analyst with own progress
  • Requirements : Education :

    Education :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Analytics, Economics, Information Technology and other Business or Analytics related courses
  • Job Related Experience :

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in reporting and data analysis.
  • Specific Knowledge :

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
  • Intermediate knowledge in other MS Office Applications (PowerPoint)
  • Basic knowledge in MS Access and SQL
  • Basic knowledge in Statistics
  • Experience in Business Intelligence Tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc) is a plus
