Working Relationships & Contacts

  • Operational Teams - collecting information and coordinating activities required to achieve compliance with processes and policy enforcement.
  • Enabling Functions - engaging to collect information and provide reports and analysis to support financial and operational objective
  • Job Purpose :

  • Data extraction and analysis
  • Provide analysis support to the Procurement team analyzing and evaluating surveys and bid responses
  • Report writing on findings in support of the wider team
  • Ensure appropriate governance and work processes are followed
  • A thorough understanding of specialist policies and procedures and are responsible for delivering elements of key functional activities and providing professional advice and support to stakeholders within the business
  • Maintain effective two-way communication with the business and the Arcadis procurement and Oracle EBS community
  • Promote the use of Total Quality,LEAN principles and creative problem solving techniques to resolve problems and drive continuous improvement and promotion of procurement best practice
  • Key Accountabilities :

  • Access various systems to process and analyze data with the view of preparing detailed reports to facilitate decision making
  • Contribute to a range of internal projects and work with senior specialists
  • Carry out tasks, such as the preparation of documentation, to support the implementation of projects to time and quality standards
  • Preparation of monthly spend and Oracle EBS reports
  • Identify and comply with the main principles relevant to Arcadis policies and procedures that govern standard work practices
  • Provide feedback and recommendations of processes and systems for continuous improvement for more efficient processes
  • Respond to and resolve all types of enquiries and problems, to provide supportive information
  • Resolve operational day-to-day problems referred from other functions of the business, ensuring an efficient and high-
  • quality service is extended to all internal clients

    Dimensions of the job :

  • Accountable for delivery of timely and accurate data collection, analysis and reports
  • Responsible for interpreting and communicating procurement support policies, processes and systems
  • Responsible for communicating and highlighting policy and process compliance issues to line manager
  • Acting as ambassadors and promoting procurement best practice in daily activities
  • Carrying out due diligence checks on receipt of procurement related documentation and raising any matters of concern to UK team
  • Knowledge & Experience :

  • Knowledge of Oracle EBS with past experience desirable
  • Knowledge of other ERP / Procurement Systems desirable
  • Awareness of Request for Information / Quotation / Proposal process with suppliers desirableExcellent numeracy and financial skills
  • Advanced proficiency in PC literacy, especially MS Office
  • Qualifications, skills & experience

  • College degree in a relevant discipline, or a full relevant vocational qualification
  • Relevant business experience, or equivalent experience
  • Hold or be working towards a relevant vocational qualification or local purchasing / procurement community membership
