The main responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to :

  • Undertake technical design work and design checking for projects in accordance with the Company System, as appropriate to the organisation of each particular project, to meet project specific time and quality targets
  • Preparation and delivery of hydrological studies, drainage design drawings, calculations, scheme evaluations and design reports for concept, preliminary and detailed studies relating to major land development and highway projects
  • Prepare and deliver hydrological studies relating to highway projects
  • Ensure that mark ups are delivered to the CAD team on a timely basis and ensures that all documents returned from the CAD team are thoroughly checked for correctness and compliance with the company standard procedures
  • Works towards the continuous improvement of the department section by utilizing effective and standardized calculation system and other design tools
  • Qualifications and Experience

  • Licensed Civil Engineering
  • 2 years+ in highway drainage design
  • Working knowledge in associated modern design software is essential (e.g. 12D, Tuflow, DRAINS StormCAD, SewerCAD, WinDES / Microdrainage etc)
  • Knowledge in design of storm & surface water drainage networks and associated fittings and fixtures
  • Experience of working on projects within the Middle East, Hong Kong and / or Australia is preferre
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook is required
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
  • Excellent communication and written skills
